Thanks to an avalanche of events, June 2026 has been entirely defined by video game reveals, announcements, trailers and surprises. Indeed, the spirit of E3 lives on. Every year produces a bunch of anime games based on beloved properties, and 2026 looks set to deliver one of the strongest and most diverse lineups of all time. Titles like The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins and My Hero Academia: All's Justice kicked things off with solid notes, but the best is undoubtedly yet to come.
Before the end of the year, new Jujutsu Kaisen, Solo Levelingand One Piece game will be available. The diversity doesn't just come from the IPs either, as most of these upcoming games fall under different genres. Seriously, one of them is a cooking sim! Get ready to fight some curses, steamroll a dungeon or survive a deadly game at the end of 2026.
Most of these games had either revealed or confirmed release dates in the past two weeks; but I also included a couple of other titles, just to complement.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
The Cooking One Piece Game
Here it is, the anime cooking game of 2026. After Odyssey at the beginning of 2023, One Piece seemed primed and ready to build on its growing momentum, perhaps finally setting the series up to become a true pillar of the anime gaming landscape, akin to something like Dragon Ball. Honestly, it hasn't quite happened, and we're still waiting for Bandai Namco to announce One Piece: Pirate Warriors 5 (seriously, it's been more than 5 years!). Still, One Piece: Grand Gourmet should be a cute title that captures the charm of Eiichiro Oda's manga.

15 Best One Piece Games of All Time, Ranked
From Musuo to lengthy JRPGs and even an open world, the best One Piece games have a lot to offer manga and anime fans.
You join the staff of a new Baratie restaurant, with your goal to turn it into the greatest restaurant at sea. Grand Gourmet is not only a cooking game, but also a restaurant management sim that lets you work together with Sanji to create meals from the show or even unique dishes that use Devil Fruits. You also get to furnish the restaurant to make sure it matches your preferences. Apparently the game contains more than 400 One Piece characters!
Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton
Vampire Survivors Dev is making a JJK game
Oh, this one is exciting. Bullet Heaven games are a dime a dozen these days, though Vampire Survivor continues to be the genre's definitive release. Jujutsu Kaisen jumping on this bandwagon might have made eyes roll if just any developer was handling the project, but Poncle's involvement changes this significantly. It would be akin to a hack-duck-slash Demon Slayer game developed by PlatinumGames; you can't choose a better developer.
Crucial, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton brings lots of new ideas to the plate which should ensure that it is not just Vampire Survivor with an anime layer of color. Matches are framed around battle royales, with players competing against rival wizards and cursed spirits. You have to outdo other characters instead of just surviving for a certain amount of time. The game supports both single-player and online PvP, and it has a roster of more than 20 characters.
Sword Art Online – Echoes of Aincrad
A SAO game without Kirito (who looks incredible)
Sword Art Online games come out often enough that new ones tend not to attract any attention except from die-hard fans of the light novel or anime. However, Echoes of Aincrad stands out by minimizing its connection to the source material, or to be precise, the source material's Kirito-themed story. Set in the world of the original game, you become a trapped player who simply wants to survive, and you get to shape your characters appearance, class and skills. Heck, you even get to shape the dynamic with your AI-controlled partner.

All the big upcoming PS5 games for 2026 and beyond
From JRPGs to platforming, racing and open-world titles, here are all the big new PS5 games coming in 2026 and beyond.
Although it does not lack a traditional story, Echoes of Aincrad seems to be much more concerned with the gameplay side of things, with the promotional material emphasizing loadouts, builds and exploration. Players make decisions that define their adventure, rather than simply following a linear path with no diversions. The combat also looks fantastic, with attacks that seem to have weight behind them.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters
Forget the World Cup, this is where the true football stars are made
Captain Tsubasa is a classic football anime that is well known worldwide; personally, I grew up watching the Italian version, and I still have fond memories of the original series. Although not as recognized, the franchise has a long and extensive history in gaming, which is not surprising given that football easily translates into video game form. Rather than just FIFA with anime characters, Captain Tsubasa plays effectively like a strategy sports game, where players try to wear down the opposing team and its goalkeeper.
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions brought the game series back into the spotlight to a degree, and it was pretty solid, as long as you went in knowing what to expect. Even then, the matches got a little repetitive after a while, so there was definitely room for improvement. The sequel seems set to do just that by introducing even more strategy elements, especially in duels between attacks and goalkeepers.
Solo Leveling: Karma
The perfect gap while waiting for Solo Leveling Season 3
Although an exact date has not yet been announced, Solo Leveling: Karma should debut within the current year, with Netmarble's games launching on mobile devices and PC. As Netmarble confirmed it will be at July's Anime Expo, the game's vision should be clearer in a couple of weeks, perhaps even revealing the launch date. Still, we do know a few things for now. Karma is a roguelite action RPG played from an isometric angle, and it tells a brand new story called the 27-Year War of the Monarchs. The following official tweet provides a basic description of Sung's situation in the game.
Solo Leveling Season 3 probably won't be released for a while, so Karma could be the perfect option to get your Sung fix.
Special mention: Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game
Utilize the four elements
Okay, I know not everyone agrees with that Avatar: The Last Airbender qualifies as an anime (and, to be honest, I don't consider it an anime), but Nickelodeon's show is really inspired by Japanese animation. Let's just make an exception and include Avatar Legends: The Fighting Gameespecially since the franchise rarely gets any new games.
Well, this project pretty much says it all in the title. A 1v1 2D fighter that uses hand-drawn animation, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game brings together 12 characters from both series, with more introduced post-launch. While PvP clearly seems to be a priority, the game features a single-player campaign that tells an original story that fits the canon universe. Of course, standard modes like an arcade will also be included.
