Jacob Elordi would be perfect for a video game movie role

Hollywood star Jacob Elordi is at the height of his stardom right now, hot on the heels of his Oscar-nominated role in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Despite his popularity, Elordi has yet to dip his toes into the world of video game adaptations, for which there is one he would be perfect for: Kingdom Hearts. While the actor may not seem like an obvious choice for one Kingdom Hearts adaptation is there a character he would be a good fit for.

Elordi has appeared in several major feature films in recent years, i.a Priscilla, Salt burn, Frankensteinand Wuthering Heights. He's also among the frontrunners on HBO's Euphoriawhich is currently airing its third season. Despite his on-screen work, Elordi is a known video game fan, recently confirming that his favorite game series is Kingdom Hearts in an appearance on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused Podcast. This should automatically put him in contention for a role in any video game adaptations of the franchise in the future.

Jacob Elordi should play Terra in the Kingdom Hearts movie adaptation

If Elordi were to take a role in Kingdom Heartsit wouldn't be as the main character, Sora. He, like many of the characters in Kingdom Hearts series, is a teenager during the games, so any faithful live-action adaptation would exclude him immediately. Elordi, although only 28 years old himself, would unfortunately be too old to play the role of Sora, and the same could be said for a character like Riku.

That said, Elordi would be a great fit for the role of Terra. The character, who first appeared in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and later returned KH3has a charged personality with an imposing presence, which Elordi could bring to the role. He's the right age to play Terra as well, which makes it a good fit in every respect. The only thing that could be a problem is that Terra only has limited appearances in the series, so it would depend on whether or not any future adaptation plans to use the character. But if it did, Elordi must be in consideration.

There is great value in having a large series fan base involved in any video game adaptation. Perhaps the best previous example is Henry Cavill, who played Geralt in the first three seasons of Netflix Witcher adaptation. As a huge fan, Cavill was able to sneak in some content from Witcher books into the show, making it more authentic for fans. The reality is that not everyone involved in a video game adaptation is going to be a big fan themselves, so it's important that some of them hold this kind of reverence. Elordi could be Kingdom Hearts' Henry Cavill.
