Hunter X Hunter has shown time and time again why it's one of the best ongoing manga, and fans couldn't be happier that the manga is still going, with no signs of it slowing down at the moment. Togashi's Succession War arc has only gotten more interesting, and it's definitely the most complex arc seen so far in the series.

As it stands, Morena is taking the spotlight right now, as she plays a card game with her victim. Meanwhile, fans can also expect to see the Phantom Troupe back in action in the near future Hunter x Hunter 408 chapters.

Togashi made a rather interesting addition to the current storyline in HxH 407. Fans already knew that Morena was after a member of Tserriednich's personal army and had therefore sent Dogman and Sodom to handle the ordeal. While fans didn't get to see exactly how Borksen, the member of Tserriednich's group, was kidnapped, they did get to see an entire chapter surrounding her and Morena as she was taken to the hideout.

Togashi showed off a new card game he invented just for this purpose. This game is likely someone's Nen ability in Heil-Ly. HxH 407 explained all the rules of this game, which means Hunter x Hunter 408 will showcase the two, Morena and Borksen, playing the game.

As explained by Morena, the longer the game goes on, the more dangerous it becomes for everyone involved. What she meant by that isn't too clear, but it's possible that HxH 408 will expand on it.

Morena has seven cards in this game, as she plays as a parent. Meanwhile, Borksen will choose one of these cards next in HxH 408. As she can see the cards, the decision is completely in her control. It is possible that the first choice of Borksen will be the cards that relate to Morena's power or goal. Borksen will definitely want to learn more about her enemy, especially if she is to have a chance at winning this card game.

Borksen will also have to choose one of the cards on his own side, which Morena has allowed. Borksen's cards are all face down, so Borksen has no idea what she chooses because it's all up to luck. This means that whatever she chooses will be completely random.

When he succeeds in his heist, he will be able to evolve Skill Hunter and steal a powerful and rare Nen ability – one that he can use to kill Hisoka for good in their next battle. HxH Chapter 408 may contain Chrollo. Chrollo wanted to go to the level above, because that's where the person he's trying to find is. It is unknown who this person he is after is, but Togashi may soon reveal the identity of that person, who some believe may even be Kurapika.

Chrollo must also find some clues about the location of the Kakin treasures, which he theorizes is on level 1 of the Black Whale. It's up to Chrollo to discover if all the treasures are hidden together or each in its own place. The person he's after may have insight into where these treasures are hidden, and this could bring Chrollo closer to his goal. This goal still feels very far, as stealing the treasures is only the first step. Chrollo also has to steal the ability to kill Hisoka. All of this may take quite a few chapters for him to achieve.

The Phantom Squad in action in Hunter X Hunter Chapter 408

While Chrollo is often the most exciting Phantom Troupe member to see in action, the rest of the troupe is very involved in the current arc and many events surrounding it. The most interesting spiders besides Chrollo right now would definitely be the Spider Trio, now split up. Nobunaga, Feitan and Phinks acted together for quite a few chapters, but now Nobunaga has gone his own way. What Nobunaga is up to at the moment is not entirely clear, but he can definitely run into Hinrigh and other Xi-Yu members, who are currently quite unhappy with the squad due to the killing of Lynch. This could go badly for him.

Meanwhile, Feitan and Phinks are on their way to Heil-Ly's hideout. Whether they will even make it there is not certain, now that the transmitter left there by Hinright has returned to its original form after running out of Nen. But the two will still do their best to reach that spot. If they manage to do that, they may well interrupt the ongoing card game going on there between Morena and Borksen. It is unclear how an outsider would be able to stop the game, but the role of these two must be seen when confronting Heil-Ly, especially since they can only act in self-defense because otherwise they will be kicked out. Even if the two reach Morena, this won't be able to finish her off as she still has a huge role to play.

And, of course, when talking about Phantom Squad, Bonolenov has been quite interesting. He stays close to Hisoka because he has found him. But the reality may be that he is being baited by Hisoka. These may be Bonolenov's final chapters as he becomes Hisoka's next death. If Bonolenov were to die now, it might enrage Chrollo even more and make him determined to kill Hisoka for good.
