Cull's Shadow comes from a secret Exotic Mission in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph, and here's exactly how you can unlock it.

You can only unlock the Darkest Depths Triumph once you've completed all three Oblation Exotic Missions, which are the following:
With these Exotic Missions completed, you can now head to the Moon. The Darkest Depths Triumph is found deep within the Catacombs on the Moonand the video above will show exactly what path you need to take in order to reach it.
Once you reach the end of the Catacombs, you can stand on a Hive plate to spawn the bridge across. When the bridge forms, walk across and you'll see the Oblation book on a Hive pedestal. You can now interact with this book to claim the Darkest Depths Triumph.
You can now look at the map and click the Oblation Exotic Mission to select “Customize,” which will allow you to select the “Oblation” option. This starts a Legendary and 30-minute timed version of all three Exotic Missions!

Click the guides above to learn the routes you need to take, and the mechanics you need to know to optimize your speed, and when you get to the bosses of each mission, get those supers moving quickly, and try to bring a competent fireteam, as this is going to be rather tricky in solo.
