Blackarrow is one of six classes available in Mistfall Hunter. It’s a ranged class that depends on dealing damage from a distance while building traps around the hunter to protect them from incoming close-range threats. There are multiple ways to build Blackarrow, as you can build them to hunt down enemy players and chase them. You can focus on hunting down and chasing enemy players for PVP dominance, or build around clearing monsters and maps in a PVE-focused playstyle. In this guide, I’ll go into detail on how to build Blackarrow in both PVP and PVE forms.
Best Blackarrow PVP Build
There are two ways to build Blackarrow for PVP encounters. The first is to build them with a more supportive approach, like giving them the Predator’s Senses and Sonic Arrow. Your Blackarrow will completely focus on discovering and chasing enemy players before they know your team is close. During combat, you’ll focus more on controlling the battlefield with skills like Frostblight Bomb and Spore Arrow.
On the other hand, the best way to build a more balanced Blackarrow is by mixing area-control and downing low-HP enemy players. Balancing helps the archer be more useful during combat, instead of only being helpful outside of it.
Best Gears and Affixes
Blackarrow wears the same gear across all rarities. The only variables where you can change some stats are necklaces and rings. There are four types of necklaces and rings across multiple rarities:
- Increase HP and physical resistance
- Increase HP and magic resistance
- Increase attack and physical damage
- Increase attack and magic damage
You need your archer to deal as much damage as possible, so go for increasing the attack and physical damage on both the ring and necklace. What’s more important than gear stats are the Affixes on the gear and the Gems you’re going to use on them. You can stack multiple Affixes from different sources to greatly increase Blackarrow’s stats. For a PVP arrow build, I’ll list the essential Affixes in this table.
|
Affixes |
Details |
Priority |
|---|---|---|
|
Ranged |
Ranged is generally the best Affix you can equip to a Blackarrow. It gives them extra physical damage when shooting from a distance. Once you upgrade the Affix enough, it increases the effective range of your arrows, causing more damage when shooting far-away enemies. |
Top priority |
|
Focused |
Focus is as good as Ranged, as it allows your character to charge their arrows faster. After upgrading, it will increase your character’s movement speed. During PVP fights, you need your character to stay mobile, so attacking and moving quickly is a must-have. |
Top priority |
|
Elusive |
There will be times when Blackarrow gets caught by melee enemies, who are better than Blackarrow in close-range combat. Elusive reduces the energy cost of dodging, allowing your character to dodge more often when they’re in enemies’ line of fire. |
Important |
|
Fervid |
After upgrading the essential Affixes, you can now add extra layers of damage. Fervid is a great choice, considering the natural way to fight is to stay away and shoot arrows. Whenever Blackarrow’s HP is above 70%, they’ll deal extra physical damage and have reduced skill energy cost. |
Important |
|
Fervor |
Fervor is a crazy Affix that works with characters that attack quickly. So, only use it if you’re relying on the Rapid Arrows skill as the primary source of damage. With every shot, Fervor’s effect will stack up to five times, increasing your physical damage and defense penetration. At max upgrade and stacks, the defense penetration can reach above 10%, which is crazy for Blackarrow. |
Good |
|
Valor |
Valor is the standard offensive Affix. It works with any character who needs extra attack and defense penetration. The effect is not amazing, but it’s definitely useful if you have the slots to add it. |

Best Skills
For PVP, you need your Blackarrow to control the field by either sniping low-HP enemies or applying traps during combat. The best way to choose their skills is by balancing between both tasks.
|
Skills |
Details |
|---|---|
|
Rapid Arrow |
Rapid Arrow is the best way to punish any melee class that dares to come close to you. With the support of Affixes and talent effects, your Rapid Arrow barrage should be deadly whenever you unleash it on the same target. |
|
Frostblight Bomb |
Frostblight Bomb has a very low cooldown, especially in trio mode, making it a great skill to control the battlefield. Whenever you catch enemies within its range, it’ll freeze them for a few seconds, giving you and your team enough time to punish and potentially down caught enemies. |
|
Impact Grenade |
Impact Grenade is more of a defensive skill to push enemies out of balance and away from you when they get close. Scattershot has almost the same effect, but I prefer Impact Grenade slightly more because it can work with Spore Arrow. |
|

|
Barbed Arrow |
Using a Barbed Arrow lays a trap on the ground, and enemies who step on it will be punished for rolling or dodging. That should slow enemy players down, giving you enough time to hit headshots during PVP encounters. |
|
Paralysis Arrow |
You can also use Paralysis Arrow to prevent enemies from using skills. After landing your shot, enemies can only attack with their basic attacks for a few seconds, until the debuff ends. |
|
Spore Arrow |
Spore Arrow works well with Impact Grenade: just throw both next to each other, and Impact Grenade will detonate the mushroom created by the Spore Arrow, unleashing poison across the area. This is also a form of control. |
Best Talents
For the PVP build, talents should support skills to enhance their abilities.
|
Talents |
Details |
|---|---|
|
Colossal Power |
Colossal Power is another buff to your arrow charge speed. |
|
Full Draw |
Fully charging an arrow is smooth in this PVP build, so having the Full Draw talent will add more damage to fully charged arrows. |
|
Focus Fire |
Focus Fire increases arrows’ damage when shooting at the same target. If you hit all your shots, it should be enough to make them run away to heal. |
|
Laceration |
Laceration is an interesting talent. It enhances Barbed Arrow so it can stun enemies when they use all their dodges. The interesting part is that if the enemy player knows, they’ll walk around even when you’re hurting them, so they don’t risk getting stunned. If they don’t, they’ll keep getting stunned every time they fall for the Barbed Arrow. |
|
Crippling Pain |
Crippling Pain slows enemies’ movement speed when you hit them with the Impact Grenade. It has a massive AoE, so it shouldn’t be a problem hitting them. Slowing down enemies is always good to keep distance and land those headshots. |
|
Cold Infusion |
Cold Infusion is another talent that slows enemies down. This time, it enhances Frostblight Bomb to slow down enemies within its range before it detonates and freezes them. |
|
Pursuit Mark |
Pursuit Mark also slows down enemies when they’re hit with normal arrows. This talent is the best source of protection when an enemy player gets close. You just use Rapid Arrow, and that should slow them down while dealing massive damage. |
|
Measured Pace |
Since Blackarrow consumes a lot of energy to shoot arrows and use skills, Measured Pace can help regain some energy whenever you hit enemies. Keep in mind, you need to have two bows to activate the talent’s effect. |
Best Blackarrow PVE Build
PVE Blackarrow works around debuffing enemy monsters, making the most of every debuff inflicted so you and your team can capitalize on it.
Best Gears and Affixes

|
Curse |
When fighting against enemy monsters, you have the luxury of attacking standing targets that barely move. This makes it less punishable to use more attacks that inflict debuffs on enemies. In that case, Curse becomes essential, as it increases the duration of all debuffs inflicted by you. |
Top priority |
|
Focused |
PVE Blackarrow uses skills that need them to fully charge their arrows. So, Focused can still help. |
Important |
|
Elusive |
Even in PVE, you’ll have to fight big bosses, who might aggro your character nonstop. So, Elusive is pretty good to have. |
Important |
|
Fervor |
Just like the PVP build, after working on the essential Affixes, you can add some of these offensive ones as an extra. |

Best Skills

Skills |

|
Frostblight Bomb |
While bosses and strong enemies are not affected by Frostblight Bomb freezing, it’s still an amazing choice because it allows your character to handle weaker enemies and keep them away from your team. |
|
Shadow Step |
Using Shadow Step causes your character to disappear, keeping them away from enemies’ sight. It’s an important skill for PVE as it takes away enemies’ aggro while you also reposition yourself. |
|
Sky Piercer |
It’s very hard for Sky Piercer to work in PVP encounters, since you need multiple seconds to charge and shoot it. Usually, whenever a PVP enemy player sees you charging Sky Piercer, they’ll push you to stop it. However, that’s not the case with PVE. During PVE boss fights, you have more than enough time to charge Sky Piercer and deal massive damage. |
|
Arrows |
Details |
|---|---|
|
Splatter Arrow |
Splatter Arrow is going to be the main source of damage since it doesn’t consume energy or have a cooldown. It’s an AoE arrow that needs to be fully charged to deal the most damage and reach its largest AoE. Generally, monsters group together during fights, which should give Splatter Arrow shots a lot of value. |
|
Bloodfly Arrow |
Bloodfly Arrow works well to build a DoT on enemies. With the Curse Affix, the DoT will last longer and deal more damage. |
|
Lightning Arrow |
Lightning Arrow deals damage to multiple enemies at the same time. It’s a perfect skill to take out groups of enemies without having to come close to them. Lightning Arrow is also amazing in PVP. As long as you can hit one of the enemy players, you’ll deal damage to the other two without having to aim at them. The only reason why I didn’t include it in the PVP build is because of its high energy consumption. |
Best Talents
|
Talents |
Details |
|---|---|
|
Colossal Power |
Since most of the attacks depend on fully charging arrows, Colossal Power is a good choice to level up. If you don’t mind waiting an extra split second, you can replace it with the Full Draw talent to increase Blackarrow’s damage. |
|
Lightning Spread |
Lightning Spread gives the Lightning Arrow more range to get a better chance of chaining enemies. |
|
Sepsis |
Sepsis allows Splatter Arrow to deal more damage with its splash, as long as you’re fully charging your arrows. |
|
Blood Infection |
Blood Infection changes the way Bloodfly Arrow works, as it will reduce its DoT in exchange for exploding if you hit the target with another fully charged arrow. This effect pairs well with the Curse Affix since the latter will increase the DoT duration, which translates into more damage when you detonate the DoT. |
|
Measured Pace |
This Blackarrow PVE build depends heavily on using skills and arrows, which makes it important to have a talent like Measured Pace. |
|
Marksman |
Marksman improves Blackarrow’s aiming. It operates more like a better aim assist. |
|
Dodge Power Shot |
Dodge Power Shot allows your character to perform an enhanced dodge much faster than the normal one. It also has an extra effect of shooting an arrow at the end. |
|
Monster Hunter |
Given that you’re going to avoid PVP fights and focus on PVE ones, it’s safe to compromise your PVP damage to increase your damage against monsters. |
