How to unlock new boards in Super Mario Party Jamboree

In almost every Mario Party game there are a selection of boards that come unlocked at the start of the game, and other boards (or game modes) that can only be unlocked when you get far enough in the normal Mario Party location. In the latest installment of the series, Super Mario Party Jamboreenew boards are unlocked in a new way.

Instead of tying boards to currencies or specific one-time goals, to unlock new boards Super Mario Party Jamboree you basically just need to play the game. This is because new boards are tied to performance i Super Mario Party Jamboreeand can only be unlocked after you rank up.

Every new board in Super Mario Party Jamboree

total, Super Mario Party Jamboree has seven boards for players to choose from. Four of these seven new boards are unlocked by default and can be selected from the moment you load into Party Plaza. Three boards are not available at first but can be unlocked as you continue to play the game.

Mega Wiggler's Tree, Goomba Lagoon, Rainbow Galleria and Roll 'em Raceway are all unlocked by default. You'll need to unlock Western Land, Mario's Rainbow Castle, and King Bowser's Keep to play on these new (and returning) Super Mario Party Jamboree boards – and it can take quite a while to unlock some of them.

How to Unlock Super Mario Party Jamboree Boards

To unlock the new one Super Mario Party Jamboree boards you have to earn in-game achievements and progress Super Mario Party Jamboree ranking. You can check all achievements available in the game, and your current ranking, in the computer house to the left of the balloon area when you spawn into the Play Plaza.

When you start Super Mario Party Jamboreeyour player account will start at Bronze Rank. When you earn 10 achievements, you advance to Silver Rank. At 20 achievements you will reach Gold Rank, and 30 achievements are required to get to Platinum Rank.

• To unlock Mario's Rainbow Castleyou must reach Gold Rank (20 achievements)
• To unlock King Bowser's Keepyou must reach Platinum Rank (30 achievements)

You should be able to get most achievements in the game by simply playing the Mario Party mode and the Singleplayer mode, Party Planning. Complete each Super Mario Party Jamboree Boarding in Party Planning mode gives you a handful of achievements each time, and if you switch up your boards while playing regular Mario Party often, you'll unlock more achievements faster.

If you're struggling to finish certain minigame achievements, head to the Minigame Bay so you don't have to rely on chance to get the minigames you need. Focusing on the minigame achievements is the fastest way to get enough achievements to unlock new ones Super Mario Party Jamboree boards, but it can be a little frustrating if you barely miss the relatively intense demands of each minigame.

As you increase your rank to Silver, Gold, and Platinum, you'll be reminded the next time you enter Mario Party mode via the balloon that you have a new board available. Although there are no more boards to unlock after Platinum Rank, if you get to Diamond Rank and complete every Achievement in Super Mario Party Jamboreeyou will earn a special end point sequence.
