How to unlock Archon of Chayula in PoE 2

Archon of Chayula is a special skill exclusive to monks who took the Acolyte of Chayula Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2. Getting this skill is easy: follow the Breach quest line when you reach the endgame, and the dreamer himself will give you the skill, provided you don't use Invoker or Martial Artist Ascendances. Archon of Chayula node in PoE 2 gives you a Glory-based buff ability that deals a bunch of bonus damage while also summoning Chaos Tornadoes to hunt down enemies on screen.

Sacred Flame is a unique scepter in Path of Exile 2 that only drops from the hardest boss in the entire game when it's at its strongest.

To get the Archon of Chayula node, you must do the Breach quest when you reach the endgame mapping phase of PoE 2. Keep playing maps until you find a Breach hand, complete it, then talk to Ailith, who will tell you to go to the Monastery of the Keepers somewhere south of the Ziggurate Refuge.

When you get to the monastery, Ailith will ask you for help with the Hiveborn. Keep doing the quests she gives you, and eventually you'll get a quest where you need to defeat two Hive Lords, Esh and Tul. This fight can be pretty tough, since you'll be fighting both Hive Lords at once, but if you've built your PoE 2 character at this point, then you should have no problem beating Esh and Tul, as long as you play carefully.

After you beat both bosses, you get a Breachlord Sac as a guaranteed drop. Pick it up and then head back to the Monastery of Keepers. Go to the Genesis Tree, and you'll notice that the door to the left just after the tree is now open. Enter and you'll find Chayula, the dreamer himself. Witness the short scene that plays, and at the end, if you're playing as an acolyte of Chayula Monk, Dreamer will give you the Archon of Chayula node along with your other Ascendancy skills.

  • Get Glory based on Monster Power whenever you want hit enemies with chaos damage or apply a Chaos Damage Over Time debuff.

  • Activate Archon of Chayula buff to get 20% more Physical and Chaos damage, 25% chance to apply Wither on Hit, and trigger Chayula's Will every 3 seconds.

  • Chayula's Will summons a tornado that deals Chaos damage. It lasts for 8 seconds, and it will chase down enemies, including Tempest Bell.

It is a summary of how Archon of Chayula works in PoE 2. It doesn't seem like much at first glance, especially since it's a Glory-based skill with a cooldown on it, but when you consider that the damage buff it provides is multiplicative, and that Chaos Tornados can stay on top and repeatedly trigger Tempest Bells, it can get pretty crazy.

Quick skills like Whirling Assault are great for building the glory you need to activate Archon of Chayula, and hidden Dominion passive skill can get rid of the long cooldown Archon buffer has between activations. As long as you can generate enough Glory, you can have the Archon of Chayula buff active pretty much all the time.
