When you arrive at the Tomb of Perdition, make your way across the moving platforms until you reach the Abyss Gate. Step on it to trigger a fast travel point, then look at the cage. Before we do anything, climb onto the roof of the cage and look to the right. You will see a treasure chest embedded in the wall. Inside will be a Surge III Abyss Gear and a Faded Abyss Artifact.

Jump back down to where the Abyss Gate is and use your Axiom Force on the yellow switch below the cage. This will cause the cage to rotate, opening up a path to your left. Enter the cage, then make your way into the adjoining room. Inside, you'll find a square Abyss Core floating on the ground.

Grab the core with Axiom Force and bring it back to where the switch is. Use your Axiom Force on the switch a second time to rotate the cage and give you access to the room to the right. Take the Abyss Core you just found and drag it into the newly opened chamber. Inside you will find a card slot that you can place the Abyss Core into.

Don't worry about the other switches in the side rooms and on the cage. These are there in case you ever get stuck in the cage and have no relevance to the puzzle. The only switch you need to worry about is the one below the cage at the Abyss Gate.

After placing the core, grab both of the rectangular Abyss cores and bring them out to the switch. Press the button a third time, grab one of the two Abyss Cores and bring it into the chamber on the left. You'll find a rectangular crack in the left room along the wall where the light is shining. It can be easy to miss, so use the image above for reference.

After the Abyss Core is in place, go back out, grab the second rectangular Abyss Core and move it on top of the cage. Climb the cage and look for a gap that is between the circular switch on the ground and the altar. Bring the Abyss Core over to the opening and slam it into this opening to fully turn on the circular switch.

Approach the circular switch, crouch, and perform a Force Palm strike to complete the Tomb of Perdition puzzle. This will create an Abyss Artifact at the altar, which you can collect. If you want to continue going through this island chain, go back to where the switch is and look to the right.

You will see a triangular gate that you can pass through. This will activate a podium that you can take with your Axiom Force to open up another path for you to follow.
