One of the biggest changes between Roblox's Grow a Garden 2 and the original game is that there is a greater focus on stealing. Every night your plants are at risk of thieves, but luckily there are some ways to protect yourself and your garden.
We've got a breakdown of how stealing works, how to protect your garden, and how to skip the whole stealing thing if you really want to save yourself a headache every night. Here's what you need to know.
How does stealing work?
Steal is only available at night.
Unlike the previous Grow a Garden, where stealing either cost you Robux or was a rare companion ability, it's standard practice in the sequel.
It's very similar to how Steal a Brainrot works: if you stay in your garden, it is locked and cannot be stolen frombut if you leave your garden, your crops are at risk of being stolen by other players.
You can enter unlocked players' gardens and steal their crops, but to get them properly, you must return to your own garden with your loot.
If you attack a player who has stolen your crops (with a tool or shovel) to retrieve your stolen fruit!

How to defend your garden
There are a few different ways to protect your garden:
Pets
The Bee pets will swarm intruders that enter your garden and help defend it against thieves.
Crop
Two crops help defend your garden, but they are quite rare and expensive:
- The Venus Flytrap will attack players that enters your garden and takes away 75 percent of its health. (If you're too close to the intruder, it might accidentally snap at you too!)
- Dragon's Breath will fire lasers at intrudersdeals small amounts of damage but hits often.

There are some tools that can help protect your garden or give you some firepower to attack potential intruders.

Props
You can buy lots of different props that can help turn your little garden into Fort Knox. There is Fences and gates to keep people outand you can also buy and place bear traps to catch intruders.
Garden location
In addition to all these different elements helping to protect your garden, the location is also important. We recommend you place your most valuable crops in the center of your garden surrounded by defensive plants, props and tools.
How to avoid theft completely
If you don't like the constant threat of having your crops stolen, in addition to staying in your own garden all night, you can simply choose to play on a private server.
To do this, press the button to the right of the Play button when you select Grow a Garden 2 in Roblox, then select “Create a private server”.
On the next page you can then create your own private server for free by selecting 'Createthen always choose to play on this private server instead of pressing the big play button. This will keep your garden protected.
You can also join other players' private servers, and many have created non-stealth servers, but you run the risk of someone breaking the rules!
