Monopoly Go: FAQ Guide
With Monopoly GO! because it's so popular, there's a lot of misinformation floating around. Let us dispel some of that for you.
You'll collect tons of Peg-E tokens naturally in Monopoly Go when a Prize Drop event is live, which usually happens about once a month. There are a few strategies to try to get the most out of your tokens, as the prizes during the Peg-E Prize Drops in Monopoly Go are almost always worth it.
Updated on November 7, 2024: Since our guide was first published, Scopely has made several changes to how the Peg-E events work, such as changing the layout of the pachinko boards and adding different iterations of the Prize Drop event. We're updating our guide to Peg-E events today to reflect these changes.
How to play the Peg-E minigame
About once a month, you'll play a new Peg-E event in Monopoly Go, sometimes called a Prize Drop event. Throughout, you will be collect tokens to use in the pachinko machine which offer different prizes that increase in value when you reach benchmark goals. You can find extra Peg-E tokens by:
-
Competing in various weekly eventslike the center banners and the daily tournament leaderboards on the right, which usually offer Peg-E tokens as milestone rewards while the event is active, providing hundreds of freebies over the course of a few days.
-
Collecting your free reward every eight hourswhich will regularly include Peg-E tokens during the events.
-
Finishing your daily goals as part of the Weekly Quick Wins meter.
- Hitting the bumpers in the Peg-E machine itself when they show the icon for five free tokens.
Like your dice roll multipliers, you can change the score multiplier on Peg-Ethe machine whose stomach serves as the playing field for the Prize Drop events. When you drop tokens, they will bounce around the pegs on the board before eventually falls into one of the slots at the bottom.
The slots have different point values mirrored across the board, and you'll notice the middle place is worth the mostas it is usually the most difficult to lower. The outermost slots are the least valuablewith values increasing as you work inwards. For every ball you drop, you have that number points are added to your event totalwhere the rewards are paid out when you achieve benchmark amounts.
The more you play, the higher score you need to collect rewards from Peg-E in Monopoly Go, so be sure to collect tokens throughout the event. If you're willing to spend a few bucks, the game will prompt you with a flash sale of extra Peg-E tokens that's only valid for a few seconds when you run out of tokens naturally, giving you an instant chance to top up – for a price.
You'll notice that it's not just pegs that your Peg-E Prize Drop tokens will bounce off of when you play this Monopoly Go mini-game – there bumper on the board at any given time as well, varying numbers of them depending on which Peg-E event is currently happening. Around each bumper is one finishing meter which increases each time you hit it. Fill the meter completely to get the reward that appears when you go back to the main game.
The bumper prizes you earn during Peg-E events include things like:
- Extra dice roll to use when you return to the actual Monopoly Go game board to help you keep rolling (and earn more Peg-E tokens)
- A cash rewardwhich is always paid out relative to your current net worth with players earning more as their net worth grows.
- Bonus Peg-E tokenswhich is instantly added to your token total and can be used immediately.
- Decal packagedepending on the event you are playing, which seems to increase in rarity as you increase the bumper multiplier.
If you are not particular about the prices you get from Peg-E bumpers, there is not much strategy other than to consider the fact that your tokens bounce off the bumpersso it can be a bit difficult to plan the course, especially now that Scopely seems to be changing the pattern of the Peg-E Prize Drop events more often.
What is Peg-E Sticker Drop?
The Peg-E Sticker Drop was added to the game in November 2024 to introduce the loot pack to the game. Peg-E Sticker Drop is a new version of the Prize Drop event which only pays out in decal packages instead of offering a variety of prices. If you're an avid sticker collector, these Sticker Drop events are absolute must-sees!
Sticker Drop was the first time we saw sticker pack added to the bumper price listand it seems that you will earn more rare stickers as you increase the number of your token multiplier. Each prize on the reward list is a sticker pack, which increases in rarity as you continue to collect points. In the November 2024 Peg-E sticker drop event, the top prize was one Exchange packagea new addition to the list of sticker packs available in Monopoly Go, offering much higher sticker rarities and the chance to change what you get.
You still earn free dice rolls, cash, and extra Peg-E tokens from the bumpers, but filling the bumper meter is the only way to receive prizes other than stickers during Peg-E Sticker Drop events.
