Read books

Like all of your social stats, there are many books you can read that give you points in Diligence. You gain points in Diligence for each chapter you read, and each book has multiple chapters. By reading the Hyperspeed Reading book, you can read two chapters at the same time.

On different days of the week when it's sunny, you can visit Aiya to eat a dish that specifically increases Diligence. On on rainy days you can try the Mega Beef Bowl Challengewhich gives you three random social stat points minus expression. One of these is Diligence, although you may not always gain a point in the stat using this method.

Folding envelopes & working in the pub

From 23/4 you can get part-time jobs from the job board located in Central Shopping District, North. Once you've accepted the job, you can fold envelopes by interacting with the table in your room. Doing this job gives you points in Diligence, and your salary also increases depending on your rank in Diligence.

You can read the “Office Work Manual” to increase the amount of Diligence you earn from folding envelopes.

On 5/25 you will also gain access to the Pub Dishwasher job, which also increases Diligence and will have your pay determined by your current Diligence rank.
