How to get Rocket League cars in Fortnite

Rocket League and Fortnite are two very different experiences. While most players go to Fortnite for its Battle Royale mode, along with various other modes such as Rocket Racing and the popular LEGO Fortnitecan those who want to play football with cars dive into Rocket League. As different as these games are, they share a few things in common – one of which is transferable cosmetics.




Rocket League has a wide range of cosmetics that can also be purchased in Fortniteallowing players to use their favorite vehicle in both games at no extra cost. Transferable vehicles are a great addition for players who enjoy both games, but exactly how do players move their cars from Rocket League to Fortnite?

How to transfer cars from Rocket League to Fortnite

Eligible vehicles available in Rocket League will automatically be transferred to Fortnite if players use the same Epic account for both games.

On PC, both Rocket League and Fortnite will be logged into the same account by default, if both games launch via the Epic Games Store. On consoles, the process is similar; players only need to be logged into the same account they use on either Xbox or PlayStation to create Rocket League cars that are in their Fortnite cabinet.

If players find themselves using separate devices for each game, such as Rocket League on Xbox and Fortnite on PlayStation they will need it make sure their separate console accounts are linked to the same Epic Games account. To do this, players should follow these steps:

  • Go to the Epic Games website and log in. If you are a console player, log in via your respective console platform.
  • Go to the Apps and Accounts tab.
  • Under Accounts, tap Connect on the accounts you want to sync. This requires you to log into each account.

When both games are linked to the same Epic account, qualifying cars that players already have in theirs Rocket League garage will be in their Fortnite cabinet. For players who want to get more cars in either Rocket League and Fortnite — either through Rocket League Trade or via challenges and limited time events – look for a message to appear in the top left of the screen, indicating that the item will also be available in Fortnite.

There is a wide variety of eligible items that will be transferable, with Epic Games continually adding more transferable items between the two games. Cars currently transferable include Cyclone, Hunter 619, Diestroand many more. Eligible Rewards i Fortnite will also transition to Rocket League in the same way, with such an entry as Fast & Furious Nissan Skyline.
