IN Moonlight Peaksyou can get Dark Wood by chopping down large logs or Weeping Willow Trees. For large logs, you must use a copper ax to cut them down. Weeping Willow Trees, on the other hand, can be felled with the simple Rusty Axe, no upgrade needed.

How to get a copper axe

You can buy the Copper Ax from Ridge in the Howling Hammer shop in Moonlight Peaks city with 1000 gold coins, 1 rusty ax and 3 copper bars.

Copper bars: You can make copper bars by smelting copper ore in a furnace using charcoal, which you can get by burning wood at the furnace.
Rusty Axe: The default tool that you start the game with.
1000 coins: Plant, grow and sell crops on your farm to earn money. In the early game, the easiest way to make money is to grow Wily Wheat Seeds, turn them into Beer at the Keg, and then sell them.
