How to get emotes in Bite by Night

As of now, there are two ways to capture emotions in the game:

Buy from Shop

The easiest way to bring in emotions Bite by Night is by picking them up at the store. To do so, just follow these steps:

  • Click the cart icon on the left side of the screen (it only appears when you're in the lobby, not in a match).

  • Select any character under the Animatronics or Survivors section and click on the “Emotes” tab.

  • Scroll through the list and tap “Buy” on any emote you want.

Each of these fun moves will cost you some scrap, so be sure to stock up beforehand.

All emotes obtained from the survivors can be used by any survivor (eg customer, fighter, medic, security guard). Meanwhile, all emotes acquired from the killers can be equipped with all Animatronics (eg The Rotten, The Project, The Doppelganger).

Get VIP Gamepass

The game also offers special emotes that are only available through the VIP Pass. While this may initially seem disappointing to free-to-play players, it's actually more manageable than it sounds. The VIP pass can be purchased with Scrap (the in-game currency), meaning you only need to save up 15,000 Scrap. You can earn this by redeeming codes, collecting daily login rewards and playing matches regularly. Once you have enough money, claim it like this:

  • Go to the game store by clicking on the shopping cart icon.

  • Click on the Robux icon to enter the premium section.

  • Select VIP under the Gamepasses section and buy it with Scrap or Robux.

This gives you the “Smile” feelingwhich can be equipped with any Survivalist type, along with additional perks. More may be added in the future.

How to use emotes in Bite by Night

Using emotes in Bite by Nightyou must first add them to your emote page. This works as a four-slot layout, meaning you can set up to four animations to use during a round. Here's how you can do it:

  • Go to your inventory by tapping the backpack icon on the side of the screen (in the lobby).

  • Select either Survivors or Animatronics, then tap the hanger icon on the character's profile.

  • Open the Emotes section, tap “Equip” and choose one of the four quick slots.

Once that's done, players can actually use the emotes in-game by following these steps:

  • When in the lobby or a match, press “B” to access your emote page.

  • Simply choose which emote you want to perform.

Since the speed slots are limited and there are many exciting maneuvers to perform (20 for Survivors and 4 for Killers), you can unlock an additional emote page by purchasing it from the in-game store. It's called the “Second Emote Page” game pass, costs 8,500 Scrap and gives you four extra slots.
