A popular Pokémon that looks cute when it's small and cool when it evolves, offers a strong party member, and has a Mega Evolution is sure to be a winner, which is why you might be wondering where to find Larvitar in Pokemon Legends: ZA.
This coveted little Pokemon is hard to come by in its native Wild Zone, but luckily there's a way to catch it much earlier in the game. Here's everything you need to know about where to find it and how to develop it.
Where to find Larvitar
Larvitae found in Wild Zone 15but when it's on the roof, once you unlock this wild zone you cannot reach it as the nearby Holovator you would need to use is still disabled at this point in the plot.
If you want to get Larvitar early or before the Holovator becomes available, there is another place to find the little green 'mon. There are some buildings shaped like a “C” on the east side of Vernal Avenuejust south of Prism Tower.
You want to scale the steps on the east side of the C-shaped buildingsin the northwest corner, that is follow the buildings until you get to the lower part of C. That's where you'll find a single spawn of Larvitar.
You must have the Roto-Glide ability to get to the lower part of the C-shaped buildings, which is unlocked as part of Main Mission 26, 'A Rogue Mega Beedrill'.
How to evolve Larvitar into Tyranitar
Evolving Larvitar is easy, you don't need any special items or methods, just good old fashioned levels. It will develop into Pupitas at level 36and it will then develop into Tyranitar at level 55.

How to Mega Evolve Tyranitar
Unlike most Mega Evolutions in Legends: ZA, you can't just buy the desired Mega Stone from Quasartico Inc. or Stone Emporium. Instead, you have to wait until you've gotten far enough in the game to reach Main Mission 31, “A Summons from Vinnie”.
As part of this quest, you must defeat a Mega Tyranitar, and you will receive the Tyranitarite as a reward afterwards.
