Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Is a very different type of game than its predecessor, Deep Rock Galactic, but there are some things they share in common, one of which is that you will fight against many bugs in both.
One way to have a bit of an easier time to handle bugs is to even out as much and as fast as you can. There are some clear solutions to this, such as completing goals and mining resources, but there are some more things you can do to even out as much as you can throughout your run.
Keep the final boss alive as long as you can
The most important and perhaps the most obvious, some advice for running in deep proof galactic: Survivor is to Keep the final boss of each level alive as long as you can. The longer you constantly fight the waves of bugs, the longer you can continue to serve XP before moving on to the next level.
Get weapons that are not single goals
Your choice of weapon will be huge when you decide how long you can keep the final boss alive. Avoid weapons that single enemiesor direct the enemy with the highest amount of health; instead, weapons directed at enemies will be where you want to set your levels.
You can especially use effects such as cold and electric, which are aimed at enemies and give them some debuffs.
Red sugar before break for healing
There will almost always be some red sugar spots around the maps that are embedded in stone for you to mine. Picking up the pieces of the red sugar will heal you, but it takes time. When it actually comes to healing, Sometimes you will be surrounded by enemies and do not have time to break the red sugar.
Early in the round, break the red sugar when you see it. If you have problems while growing bugs at the end of the round, you can simply run to the red sugar you have already broken and it is just on the ground, rather than spending time to break it under pressure.
Do lots of escape routes
Maps will vary quite dramatically in terms of the layout, and you want Explore it as much as you can while the pressure is low at the beginning. There may be some surprising dead-ends you want to avoid when being chased, but more important than it is to prepare some escape routes for yourself.
You can either Dig completely a tunnel through a stone stretch that gives you (and bugs) another routeor so you can mostly precede a route, leaving the end of it stuck for you to dig it out at the end.
This will force the bugs into a choke point for you to fight, and you can dig the last bit as soon as you need to escape.
Increase your pickup radius
There will be many times when there is a huge amount of XP that is around which is too dangerous to even consider grabbing. But you sometimes have the chance to level up in the range where you collect xp and other items.
This will result in you equalizing quite a lot faster and ending with wasting much less XP when you leave a step.
