You can easily make wooden boards in Palworld at the comfort of your home base by unlocking the wooden boards at the tech tree and then using a workbench to craft them. You must be at least level 15 to unlock the wood plank tech recipe palworld, and since they take a while to make from scratch, you might want to get friends who are good with their hands to help you at your base.
How to unlock wooden boards in Palworld
Wooden boards are needed for a number of advanced buildings i Palworld (like the Weapons Workbench), and to unlock the recipe for them, all you have to do is open the Technology tab and scroll down to the level 15 row of offers. Unlock it with your tech points and you're good to go.
Wood boards differ from high-quality wood boards. The latter are reserved for level 43 players and above, and they require more advanced materials to craft as well.
Just a reminder, you get tech points every time you level up, but you can also find and use certain manuals to get additional tech points without leveling up. These are different from Ancient Technology Points, which can only be used on the purple blueprints on the technology tree.
How to make wooden boards
By unlocking the Wooden Boards recipe, you will be able to find it on any of your workbenches. Thankfully, you can create boards on even the most basic Primitive Workbench, although I still recommend doing them on the most advanced workstation you own. To manufacture wooden boards in palworld, you need the following:
You can get wood and fiber by cutting down trees. As for nails, you have to make them on a workbench using ingots, which are made from ore using a furnace.
Cutting down trees yields both wood and fiber, but logging sites yield only wood. If you want to automate fiber production in your base, you need to set up a crusher and set it to produce fiber.
If you want to speed up the production of wooden boards (or any other similar material, for that matter), you want to set up a production line somewhere in your base. These are basically bigger, faster versions of your regular workbench. But assembly lines require Power, which you can generate by using Power Generators. You also need Electric Pals to man the generators.
