Nintendo Switch 2 players looking for something new to play should definitely make sure to mark Thursday, July 23 on their calendars. The Nintendo Switch 2 has been in the works ever since it launched last summer. Not only has Nintendo released tons of high-quality first-party games on the Switch 2, but third-party partners have also stepped up to support the device.
At launch, the Switch 2 was treated to popular third-party games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Yakuza 0: Director's Cut. Earlier this year, Resident Evil Requiem was released on Switch 2 to rave reviews, and next month Bethesda is coming along The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered to the platform. Some previous Nintendo consoles have seriously struggled when it comes to third-party support, but the Switch 2 is an exception to the rule so far, and that's especially evident when it comes to the lineup on July 23rd.

Of all the new games coming to Switch 2 on July 23rd, there are a few that should be of particular interest to owners of the platform. Avatar Legends: The Fighting Gamefor example, is a 2D fighting game based on the popular Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise. Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game features a roster of fan-favorite characters and scenes taken directly from the show, and is released just a few days before Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender the film is released on Paramount+.
Switch 2 players may also want to pick up Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster on July 23. Final Fantasy 10 widely considered to be one of the best games in the Final Fantasy series, and while its sequel isn't as beloved, it's still a well-regarded game. Having both in one package is an excellent deal, and while the games are currently playable on the Switch 2 through backwards compatibility, it will be nice for them to get native releases on the platform.
However, the new main game coming to Switch 2 on July 23rd is Splatoon Raiders. Splatoon Raiders is a new one Splatoon spin-off that focuses on single player missions as opposed to PvP. Splatoon Raiders also has co-op support, so up to four players can team up to take on the challenges. Between Splatoon Raiders, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Gameand the other games releasing on July 23rd, Switch 2 players have a particularly busy day ahead of them.
