As you travel through the different sectors of the moon i Pragmaticsyou will eventually make your way through the Terra Dome. Designed to visually recreate the Earth's flora and all its density.
And to maintain an area of that size, you also need a suitably large gardener. And that's where the Garden Keeper boss appears and tries to remove you as nothing more than a weed.
Where does the gardener fight?
As the name suggests, the gardener fights in the Terra Dome. They are at the very end, in the Terrarium zone. The boss arena is accessed through a hole in the ground, so be careful not to accidentally fall down if you haven't returned to the shelter to refill yet.
In the aftermath, you can even return here to fight them again if you really want a revenge.

How to beat the gardener
The Garden Keeper is a smooth boss. While it may not have the same scale as the creator's boss, it still has incredible rangeand the freedom to move around the arena with ease.
Here's a quick summary of all their moves:
|
Move |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Shock Mines |
The boss places a series of mines around the arena. Pressing them locks you in place for a few seconds and can lead to the Trapped Tail Grab |
|
Trapped tail grip |
If the boss manages to get close to Hugh while he's stuck in a shock mine, they'll grab them to deal damage. You can escape this by completing a hacking mini-game with Diana. |
|
Jumping seaweed sweep |
The most common attack used by the boss. They quickly strike at you and slash sideways with their pincers. This can be followed up by another pincer sweep, by an Arm Slam. |
|
Arm Slime |
The boss smacks straight in front of himself with all his arms. Hits a fairly wide area. |
|
Wide tail spinner |
The boss rolls back and then spins with its tail for an attack that hits most of the arena. Dodge when the tail approaches you. If you dodge too soon, you will still get hit. |
|
Tail shock explosion |
The boss sticks his tail into the ground in front of them, causing a red circle to appear. After a moment this explodes for great damage. Both the initial slash and the explosion deal damage. |
|
Lightning strikes |
After the boss is below half health, they will sometimes stand still and raise their tails into the air, causing a series of lightning bolts to rain down on the arena for a few seconds. |
|
Aerial Tail Lasers |
The boss will jump away from the arena and mount on an unreachable wall. They will fire a pin of lasers that spread outwards. This move cannot be canceled, so you simply have to avoid it until the attack ends. |
|
Missiles |
While mounted on a wall, the boss will fire a missile, usually after the second volley of lasers. This can be redirected to do less damage to the boss. |
The boss has access to the majority of their moves throughout the fightthough the lightning and laser moves only activate after they drop below half health.
Many of Garden Keeper's moves have two damaging phases or follow-up attacksso timing your dodges is incredibly important. This is why it's important to keep in mind exactly when an attack will land, as the wide range of these attacks means that a poorly timed dodge will still result in getting hit.
They have that too three weak pointswith the hardest to reach those doing the most damage. These are as follows:
- Head – Least damage
- Underside – Medium damage
- Tail – Most damage.
That said, every area you hit will deal good damage, especially the closer you are, but the tail takes the most. During certain attacks, such as Tail Shock Explosion, you should focus all attacks on the tail as it remains locked in place in the ground for a few seconds.
After the boss is below half health, they are also expanding their Hacking Matrixadds dead nodes and failure nodes and generally becomes larger. The Code Generator and Sticky Bomb weapons are good for dealing with this, although the Overdrive protocol is also good in a pinch.
In addition to this, the fights keep a steady rhythm. If you can keep your dodges well timed, then the rest of the fight becomes easy. After beating them, you get another Shelter license key and the ability to move on to the next sector.
