Original PC versions of STALKER Games and STALKER: Legends of the Zone trilogy to be updated in 2025

This announcement follows the huge STALKER 2 Update 1.1 which fixed over 1,800 bugs. This long-awaited patch fixed many known issues with NPCs, game optimization, quests, and more. Some of these fixes were focused on improving A-Life, the artificial intelligence system used to give the game's NPCs lifelike behaviors, which didn't work well at launch. While STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was universally loved by gamers, it was quite buggy at launch, so it's good to see that GSC Game World has quickly addressed the game's most pressing issues.

Overall, the long awaited release of STALKER 2 has proven to be a big hit. The game sold over a million copies in less than 48 hours, and GSC recently announced that STALKER 2 has already turned a profit, despite a budget conservatively estimated at more than $80 million.
