Jujutsu Kaisen: Sukuna's 20 Strongest Powers
Sukuna is arguably the most powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and here are some of his most powerful abilities.
Yuji is officially marked as a special wizard in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume 3
Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 3 will be released in Japan on May 1, 2026, and character information from this volume is already slowly being revealed. As is the case with every Modulo volume, plenty of supplemental information is provided by creators Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki, and this time was no different. Given that Yuji Itadori featured heavily in the final volume, which spans chapters 17 to 25, according to Shueisha, it makes sense that Yuji's full characterization is provided.
According to Gege Akutami i Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume 3, Yuji Itadori began to be recognized as a Special Grade Sorcerer sometime after the fall of Ryomen Sukuna. Considering how strong special grades are in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji is ranked as one to show the power he went on to achieve. As Sukuna's vessel and the inheritor of the Death Paintings' power, Yuji Itadori was destined to attain immense strength, and based on the author's recent comments, it is clear that he went on to fulfill his potential.
Veterans don't die. They wither away with time, you know? — Yuji Itadori, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 20
Also, in the supplementary information for the character Yuji Itadori, Gege Akutami also labels him as the “strongest”, meaning that after the death of Gojo Satoru and the fall of Ryomen Sukuna, it was Yuji Itadori who went on to take this title for himself and fully embody it.
Gege Akutami's latest reveal makes Itadori the fifth official special grade
Special Grade wizards are incredibly hard to come by. So far in the story, only four Special Grade Sorcerers have appeared, with Yuji Itadori being the fifth. The first Special Grade wizard that fans saw in Jujutsu Kaisen was Gojo Satoru, whose strength was immeasurable. With him was Geto, and together these two individuals were considered elite in the wizarding world.
Over time, more special ratings appeared, with the likes of Yuta Okotsu thrown into the mix, and Yuki was also introduced into the story, whose strength was immense, just like the others. According to Gege Akutami, special classes have strength great enough to overthrow an entire nation, showing the remarkable level of power they continued to achieve. Yuji Itadori becoming the official fifth special grade wizard in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen means that he can now bring down an entire nation single-handedly, and that's remarkable.

To judge Yuji's overall power level compared to other special classes
While Yuji Itadori has become a special grade wizard, according to Gege Akutami himself, his strength is not necessarily equal to all the other special grades seen in the story. Special Grade wizards are known to have varying levels of power. For example, Geto Suguru wasn't that powerful despite being a special grade, by and large. Even Yuki, despite being incredibly overpowered, was not as strong as Yuta Okkotsu, and Gojo was by far the strongest, easily taking on and defeating all three Special Grades in the original Jujutsu Kaisen series.
In all heaven and earth I alone am the honoured. — Gojo Satoru, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 75
When analyzing the strength of Yuji Itadori and comparing it to the likes of the other special classes, it is clear that he is at least up there with Gojo Satoru. This is because Yuji Itadori possesses two cursed techniques in the form of blood manipulation as well as shrine. Having Sukuna's technique means that Yuji Itadori has the same abilities as him, and adding blood manipulation to that makes him even more dangerous.
Given that Yuji is described as the second strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume 3 extra information, it's clear that he at least went on to reach a level comparable to that of Gojo Satoru. It must also be remembered that Yuta Okkotsu also grew in strength after the war, as evidenced by the power Rika displayed in Modulo Chapter 20. Our assessment would be that Yuji, Yuta, and Gojo were at the same strength as special class wizards when JJK ended.
