Best local co-op and split-screen games on Steam
Steam has plenty of online multiplayer PC titles, but Valve's store isn't short of great co-op games either.
In addition to its usual roster, Servonauts will feature four secret characters, which Game Rant can now exclusively reveal. This group consists of Cthulnaut, Ducknaut, Greasernaut, and Rexnaut, all of which have fairly self-explanatory names. Although based on the terrifying cosmic entity imagined by HP Lovecraft, Cthulnaut is about as sweet as such a character can be. The remaining three secret gas station guards that players will be able to control in Servonauts looks pretty adorable too.

Since these Servonauts are billed as “secret” characters, it stands to reason that players won't be able to select them right from the start. However, the exact mechanics of unlocking them in the upcoming indie game are currently unclear. Besides this secret quartet, Servonauts previously revealed its default roster, consisting of four unnamed characters, each with a distinct color theme: red, blue, orange, and green. The red attendant looks like a sci-fi fireman, while the green and orange ones were possibly inspired by classic diving equipment, like the so-called standard diving suit. At the same time, the blue attendant resembles a futuristic welder.
It's already possible to get some first-hand experience with the game's main character roster, courtesy of Servonauts demo now available on Steam. The wacky indie title is also coming to Switch, though it has yet to receive a demo version for Nintendo's hybrid console. According to its eShop listing, the Switch edition of the Servonauts will retail for $14.99. While this is also the likely price point for its PC version, the game's Steam page still doesn't mention anything in the way of November 18 pricing information.
Servonauts is scheduled to hit Switch and PC on Thursday, November 21. It will be published by Untold Tales, a Polish company known for distributing a diverse range of indie games, including What The Duck, Everdream Valley, Arise: A Simple Storyand The massacre in Hong Kong. In addition to adding to the versatile portfolio, Servonauts will also expand the range of chaotic co-op games for Switch and PC.
