Freedom Wars Remastered showed off its gameplay and new additions in a trailer recently released by Bandai Namco. In addition to its improved visuals, the action RPG has modified the game's balance, added a new difficulty level, and updated various other features. Freedom Wars Remastered launches on January 10 for PS4, PS5, Switch and PC.
Earlier, Sony lost the exclusivity for Monster Hunter series. Capcom decided to bring its famous monster-hunting games to Nintendo's newer consoles, such as the Wii and Nintendo 3DS, temporarily renouncing its relationship with Sony. In response, PlayStation's parent company evolved War of Independence for PS Vita. While its futuristic setting stands in stark contrast to Monster Hunterthe game loop is virtually identical. Players battle massive mechanical creatures called Abductors, harvest their parts and upgrade their equipment to repeat the offensive with enhanced combat capabilities.

Bandai Namco is starting 2025 with a bang
Barring any unexpected delays, it looks like Bandai Namco will have several major video game releases in the first half of 2025.
To illustrate how the game system works Freedom Wars Remastered works, Bandai Namco released a new trailer. The video opens by introducing the main character, a Sinner convicted of the crime of being born. The game takes place in a dystopian world where natural resources have been depleted. The sinner's punishment involves undertaking missions to contribute to their Panopticon, or their respective city-state. Missions range from rescuing citizens and destroying kidnappers to capturing control systems. These can be completed solo or in online co-op mode.
Freedom Wars Remastered shows off its game systems
The trailer goes on to highlight the updates that were introduced in the Freedom Wars Remastered. The first improvement is in the graphics, which jump from a resolution of 544p to 2160p (4K) for PS5 and PC while maintaining 60 FPS. On PS4, the maximum resolution is 1080p at 60 FPS, while the Switch will run at the same resolution but at 30 FPS. The RPG will have a faster gameplay experience compared to the original, thanks to improved design and new mechanics such as increased movement speed and the ability to cancel weapon attacks.
The crafting and upgrading systems i Freedom Wars Remastered has also undergone an overhaul and now has a more user-friendly interface and pluggable/detachable modules at will. A new feature is module synthesis, which allows players to improve modules using the citizens they have rescued. Finally, the trailer introduces the Deadly Sinner difficulty mode, aimed at hardcore players, and confirms that all customization DLC from War of Independence' The PS Vita version will be available from the start.
