Former Tekken Boss finally visits Waffle House

We've all seen memes of people fighting at Waffle House. It's not just fist fights either, but cutlery, food and even chairs are seen flying across the room. It's understandable if it happens once or twice, but these unlimited Waffle House brawls somehow keep happening. Not even Tekken's former director, Katsuhiro Harada, can understand it.

In the past, Harada has commented on the incredible nature of these deals. He's even asked fans if there's any lore behind it, but no one seems to have an answer. So it seems the fighting game legend had no choice but to investigate for himself. He finally made it to a Waffle House.

Tekken These Waffles To Go

Given that the Waffle House has become a hotbed of these brawls, and Harada's scheming in them, Tekken fans have asked him to incorporate the restaurant into the game as a level. Unfortunately, the breakfast chain did not respond to his messages. He finally got the opportunity to personally visit a Waffle House branch.

“I finally made it to Waffle House,” Harada tweeted. “The staff is always friendly, and when I asked if they would sell me a menu, they sold me one for $5.” Unfortunately, he didn't witness any fights, but promised “Next time I'll be back at 3 in the morning for fight time.” It would be pretty cool if the former director of Tekken got into a Waffle House brawl. He even posted a picture of himself pretending to throw a chair.

Bandai Namco is once again trying to win back Tekken 8 fans

In the aftermath of its release, Tekken 8 has not gone down well with die-hard fighting game fans.

Regarding why the fights keep happening at Waffle House. No one really has an answer. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are almost always open, so they are a hotspot for people to grab a bite after a hard night out. People tend to get into fights when they're drunk, so maybe the two are related.
