Ex-Playstation Boss says Sony hopes Nintendo fans will move on to “More Mature Systems”

Playstation, Nintendo and Xbox all have a reputation, whether it is served or not. Playstation is known for its big, cinematic games full of action and emotional stories; Nintendo is known for its family -friendly games and colorful platform players full of creativity and wonders; And Xbox is known for being Xbox. I let you decide what that means.

Don't worry, the musical Easter egg hidden in Nintendo games since 1990 has come to Mario Kart World

After a five -year absence, its discovery in Mario Kart World has confirmed Nintendo's longest Easter egg.

On the surface, this would mean that Nintendo consoles are for children, while Playstation consoles are for the fully grown taxpayer, but we know it is a little more complicated than that. It is true that Nintendo, however, satisfies younger audiences, and I can guarantee that more people were introduced for games via Nintendo consoles than Playstation or Xbox.

One person who also realizes this is the former Playstation Chief Shuhei Yoshida, who credits Nintendo with “bringing a younger audience to play” on a recent section of The Kit and Crysta Podcast. In the section he talks a little about how Sony perceives Nintendo and claims that there is a “huge respect” between the two, but the latter hope it can scoop up their fans as they get older.

Ex-Playstation Boss hopes Nintendo fans will move on to “More Mature Systems”

“Nintendo brings a younger audience to play, and some of them, when they grow up, may be a degree to more mature systems such as Playstation or Xbox,” says Yoshida. “Of course, they have tremendous respect for what Nintendo does when it comes to how Nintendo should do in the industry. We all felt it is fantastic to have Nintendo to continue to succeed so that we can continue to grow the industry.”

It is kind of fascinating to hear how Sony actually sees Nintendo and treats them as more of an incubator for future customers rather than direct competition. Yoshida even goes so far as to claim that Sony even leaves Nintendo from business analysis when comparing consoles. That's exactly how much it considers Nintendo as a company in a completely different audience than the one in which it works.

It is also quite ironic considering that Playstation's biggest success in the last five years was Astro Bot, so the platform might take a leaf from Nintendo's book and become a little less “mature”. I'm still waiting for these APE Escape and Jak & Daxter restarts Playstation.
