This year's Lantern Rite Festival will primarily consist of three main event mini-games, but there will also be several additional festivities taking place in Liyue Harbor. Genshin Impact's Lantern Rite Festival 2025 event start and end dates

Currently, there is no official date for when the 2025 Lantern Rite Festival will start and how long it will be available. However, it is widely believed that this event will start when phase two of Genshin ImpactThe 5.3 update starts on January 21st and it is also estimated that the event will last for the rest of the 5.3 update.

The Immortal Combat event minigame has been described by the community as being similar to Puyo Puyo games, where players will complete a matching puzzle game while competing against an AI opponent. Drills By Lamplight is a typical combat-oriented mini-game where players will face waves of enemies, and completing specific challenges during combat will earn players additional points. Finally, Custom Gift Envelope is a mini-game where players will be able to create personalized decorations for some of the playable characters in Genshin Impact.

Outside of these three main event mini-games, there will also be other festivities and quests available during the Lantern Rite Festival 2025. So far, it has been revealed that there will also be: a unique quest line for the Lantern Rite Festival this year, firework launch tubes, and collectible coins scattered around the Liyues port, and an opera performance by Yun Jin.
