Jujutsu Kaisen's The Shinjuku Showdown arc was a phenomenal experience that officially ended with Chapter 271 in 2024. During its run, it delivered some of the very best battles we've seen in history, and it also saw the strongest wizards gather in one place and showcase their true prowess. Of course, the large amount of battles that took place in this arc means that there were also a lot of incredible power-ups.
Gege Akutami, the creator of the series, showed a lot of great characters that reached new heights in this arc, and while there were many new power-ups, only a handful can be considered the very best.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Adult Yuji Itadori's Power Level Explained
Yuji has grown tremendously in power. Gege shows off its new level of power in the JJK Modulo.
Hiromi Higuruma's RCT
Hiromi Higuruma was focused on quite a bit in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. After entering the raid against the Curse King, he had a mountain to climb, but he was able to impress Sukuna, which not many wizards have been able to do. When Higuruma was hacked up by Sukuna, he was able to recover by figuring out how to use the RCT on the spot, something only a select few geniuses would pull off. Gege Akutami officially called him a talent on the same level as Gojo right after.
Higuruma's Domain Enhancement
Higuruma learned how to use the Reverse Cursed Technique and was praised by Sukuna, but that wasn't all he did. He also managed to learn an anti-domain technique on the spot while fighting Sukuna. This technique was none other than Domain Amplification. In fact, not only did he learn how to use domain boost, but he was also able to switch between using boost and attacking Sukuna effortlessly.
Sukuna compared his use of this switch to his own, and that's high praise. This was an incredible power-up that, in retrospect, deserves more respect.
Gojo's unique RCT circuit
Gojo got a very exciting power-up in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. During his fight against Sukuna, he managed to hit several black bolts. In fact, Gojo landed four black bolts in a row, one of which dealt amazing damage to even the King of Curses. After his Black Flashes, Gojo was able to create a unique reverse cursed technology circuit in his brain. This allowed him to regain his RCT, and essentially his burnt out cursed tech as well. While Gojo had technically lost his RCT at this point, hitting the black bolts allowed him to create another circuit to use it, making him even more adept at healing.
Sukuna's upgrade to the shrine
Sakuna ended up getting a major power-up in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc as well. Here, Sukuna wanted the blueprint to bypass Gojo's Infinity. Thanks to Mahoraga, he was able to successfully do so. Essentially, Sukuna learned how to increase and change the target of his technique from just one individual to the entire world.
This allowed Sukuna to cut down everything in the world, including infinity, and with it he was able to create a new technique that essentially kills in a single shot, called World Splitting Dismantle.

JJK characters have gone through awakenings that fundamentally changed them and greatly increased their strength.
Yuji's Reverse Cursed Technique
Yuji made great progress during the 1 month time jump, and he managed to reach new levels of power, starting with gaining the ability to use the Reverse Cursed Technique. In Shinjuku Showdown, when Yuji went into battle against Sukuna, he displayed the ability to heal from severe injuries.
Despite being hit by Sukuna's powerful Cleaves on multiple occasions, sometimes even point-blank, Yuji still got up and recovered with his RCT, which is very impressive. His title was greatly aided by his blood manipulation cursed technique.

Yuji's Anti Domain Technique
Not only did Yuji learn the ability to use reverse cursed techniques, but he also managed to learn some anti-domain techniques. When Sukuna manifested his 99-second domain expansion, Yuji countered it by harnessing the power of New Shadow Style and pulled out a simple domain.
This allowed him to hold off Sukuna's slashes for quite some time. But his domain eventually broke. Still, it did the job as it kept him from dying and getting inundated with slashes from all directions.
Yuji's blood manipulation
Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the series, ended up gaining many powerful abilities in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. There are some abilities that Yuji actually awakened before the Shinjuku Showdown, but, of course, we only saw them in this arc. One such ability is blood manipulation.
During the build up to the Shinjuku Showdown, Yuji ended up consuming Death Paintings 4 through 9, and this essentially gave him the cursed blood manipulation technique. He used this power in the battle against Sukuna and although his control over it was not perfect at the time, he was still a good user of this technique.
Yuji's Shrine Awakening
Quite simply, the biggest power Yuji gained during the Shinjuku Showdown Arc was the Shrine Cursed Technique. Basically, after hitting a Black Flash on Sukuna, Yuji got his biggest power-up by unlocking his latent potential and Awakening The Shrine. This cursed technique allows him to use powers like Cleave and Dismantle, among many other techniques.
Yuta's Gojo Takeover
When it comes to Yuta Okkotsu, we saw a very unlikely power-up granted that was also temporary in the grand scheme of things. Essentially, after Yuta fell in battle against Sukuna, Rika managed to keep him alive just enough until he switched bodies with Kenjaku's cursed technique, which he had copied earlier.
Much to the fans' surprise, Yuta took over Gojo's body using the Body Hopping Cursed Technique. With it, Yuta gained access to this incredible body, which essentially gave him the Six Eyes, as well as the Limitless Cursed Technique, and even allowed him to open the Unlimited Void. Also, due to Kenjaku's technique, Yuta's brain had Limitless engraved on it, which he likely took with him when he left Gojo's body.
Yuji's Domain Expansion
Arguably, the biggest power-up in Shinjuku Showdown came at the end, when Yuji Itadori finally learned how to use a domain expansion. This technique was certainly not easy for him to use, but he managed it without a problem. Within his domain, Yuji was stronger than anyone, and his soul-confounding attacks posed a significant threat to Sukuna.
Most notably, Yuji Itadori was able to use a Soul Splitting Dismantle, which acted as a sure hit for the domain and it landed directly on Sukuna, causing significant damage and weakening his hold on Megumi. Yuji then finished the fight with another Black Flash which finished off the King of Curses for good. This was the last power-up in the entire original Jujutsu Kaisen manga, and it also ended the biggest battles in the most satisfying way. While Yuji gained more power-ups after in the sequel called Modulo, the original manga made sure his domain was the last skill he learned.
