Eiichiro Oda's One Piece has been the undisputed best-selling manga for over a decade. Earlier this year, One Piece's total sales already exceeded 600 million, making it a legendary series on a global level. All this is already impressive, but now its latest release, One Piece volume 114, has broken another sales record in 2026. One Piece is not slowing down with its sales at all. While there were concerns that One Piece sales would decline in recent volumes, the latest release proves that Oda's manga still dominates in Japan and is an unshakable pillar of Shonen Jump. This is largely thanks to the exciting events unfolding in the Elbaph arc.

One Piece Volume 114 sells 1.015 million copies in 4 weeks
Eiichiro Oda released his latest episode, One Piece Volume 114, on March 4, 2026. On the cover, this volume featured the exciting Rocks Pirates team, which fans had been waiting to see for almost a decade. As the first volume of One Piece in 2026, there was global anticipation for its release; especially with the story of Rocks D. Xebec featured in it.
With its launch, the current popularity trend of One Piece can be properly gauged, and needless to say, it did not disappoint. One Piece Volume 114 is currently the best-selling manga volume in Japan 2026. In just about a month, it has already managed to surpass the 1 million mark. At the moment it is sitting around 1.015 million copies in circulation. In fact, this volume is the only one in 2026 that sold over a million copies in Japan. By comparison, the second best-selling volume this year is Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo Volume 2, which currently hasn't even passed 400,000 copies in circulation.
One Piece's manga sales are definitely impressive, and this increase in copies sold compared to previous volumes is not a coincidence. One Piece has undergone one of its most exciting arcs yet, and in volume 114, the long-awaited God Valley flashback takes place. In this flashback, fans finally get to meet iconic Rocks D. Xebec and get a better look at his crew. The events of God Valley, which include Roger and Garp vs. The childhoods and fates of Rock, Blackbeard, and Shank, as well as Imu's surprise appearance, are all explored.
With so much going on, it's no wonder fans rushed to buy this volume in Japan. Unfortunately, this volume is still not available for international fans. At the moment, there is no release date for the English version of One Piece Volume 114, and it may take, at least, over a year before it is released for English speakers.

With this huge success for One Piece Volume 114, it can be said that the series is about to regain its throne as the best-selling manga series for the year 2026. As fans know, since 2019, marked by the rise of series such as Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece has not managed to reach the ranking as the best-selling series for 6 years. But in 2025, it actually managed to regain the title as the best-selling series of the year. By 2026, this trend is likely to continue. This will be the first time in years that One Piece has been the best selling manga of the year back to back, and with no major series on the rise at the moment, this could be the case for a long time.
It is also important to consider that the next One Piece volume is also close to release. One Piece Volume 115 already has a planned release date, and it will hit Japanese stores on June 6, 2026. There is no English release date for it at the moment, but it is expected in 2027.
Overall, it's clear that One Piece is back to dominate the manga industry in Japan. Oda's influence is still strong despite the series being nearly three decades old. With the story now in the Final Saga, One Piece will only continue to heat up and become more exciting, leading to a further increase in sales.
