Gameloft has announced another Disney Dreamlight Valley developer update video for October 2nd. The company's devlog will see it in detail next free Disney Dreamlight Valley update, the theme and name of which have already been revealed.
December 5 will celebrate the one year anniversary of Disney Dreamlight Valley will receive a full-fledged release after its 15-month early access period. The game has received 12 major content cuts and 17 hotfixes since its preview first debuted in September 2022, averaging more than one update per month.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Teases Jungle Getaway Update
This release pace is now set to continue with the game's next major update, which Gameloft has just confirmed will be called Jungle Getaway. While the company didn't reveal any other concrete details about the patch other than the name, it promised to do so on October 2nd, when the next devlog is scheduled to debut. Given how the developer has so far averaged a major content drop every two months, and given that the Dapper Delights update reached Disney Dreamlight Valley in late August, Jungle Getaway is likely to debut in mid-October 2024.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Jungle Getaway Star Path Teaser Leaves Fans Confused
Much like Dapper Delights and most patches that preceded it, Jungle Getaway will be a free update, Gameloft has confirmed. A few days before this Oct. 2 devlog announcement, the company also teased the next one Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Path which is expected to debut as part of Jungle Getaway, after doing so with another one of its signature emoji sequences. And while these hints have sometimes been easy to (at least partially) decipher, this one in particular has left fans pretty puzzled. The teaser sequence in question seems to hint at some kind of music, sound or festival theme. Alternatively, some fans have suggested that Star Path will include a fireworks sound effect.
According to Gameloft's previously shared content roadmap, Disney Dreamlight Valleys pool of villagers will soon be expanded to include Timon and Pumbaa. Both have previously been promised to arrive as part of one The Lion King-theme update in October 2024. That content release and Jungle Getaway are most likely one and the same.
Considering how October 31st is just a few weeks away, Disney Dreamlight Valley will also likely get some Halloween additions in the near future. But it remains to be seen if these will debut as part of Jungle Getaway, which seems to revolve around a completely different theme.
