Dead by Daylight has been steadily releasing killer and survivor sets since launch. While the original sets have created a good base for the game, Behavior Interactive has spiced up the lineup with killers and survivors licensed from various popular IPs. The likes of Lara Croft and the gang from Castlevania have produced some celebrities.

However, long-time fans of the series tend to look forward to the original characters created by the developers because they add more flavor to the game and are not limited by the approval process of IP owners. A new chapter called Doomed Course has been announced for the game, featuring a brand new duo, but more importantly, a scary dog named Snug that you can pat like the killer!

Contrary to what Snug's name suggests, his master is actually the killer. The Houndmaster, aka Portia Maye. As revealed in the announcement, she spent her childhood years on the high seas, setting sail with her father. Life was full of curiosity, indulging her imagination and bonding with her loyal dog Snug. It started as a journey like any other. The storm was the first setback. The pirates, the other, could only watch helplessly as her father was tortured for hours and brutally slaughtered.
As for the survivor, Taurie Cain would “find herself embarking on a similar course, oblivious to the creeping shadow looming overhead. Positioned to rise within the ranks of the Black Talon cabal, her devotion led her to worship an ancient Entity her to a terrifying discovery. There were other worlds lurking beyond the surface, and they were within reach.”
Doomed Course launches on November 28th, but you can play it right now on Dead by Daylight's public test server on Steam.
As for their perks, PCGamesN noted that Houndmaster can use All-Shaking Thunder to instantly jump forward after landing from a height, Scourge Hook: Jagged Compass highlights the generator that has made the most progress, and No Quarter makes the survivor go through additional skill checks when healing.
Taurie Cain can use Treacherous Crows to locate the killer's aura if she disturbs the crows, Clean Break allows her to eventually fully heal when another player tries to heal her, and Shoulder the Burden allows her to switch states with another player, saving herself and damning the other.
Marrying the survival horror genre with classic slasher movie vibes, Dead by Daylight sees you take on the role of either a brutal killer or one of four survivors. Do everything you can to find your prey, or survive the night and find a way out of this hell.
