REPOa co-op horror game from 2025 with an overwhelmingly positive average review score on Steam, is free to play until November 3rd. While many Steam games run “free weekend” promotions to boost player numbers, REPO seems to offer full access to everyone to celebrate a big event.
Many consider REPO one of the key releases behind Steam's recent surge in profits from co-op games. At its peak, the quirky title reached around 270,000 concurrent players and has remained among the platform's most played games since its launch in February. However, REPO is still in early access, which may make some fans hesitant to try it. Now seems like the perfect time for these players, as the game is currently offering a deal that is hard to miss.
REPO celebrates monster update with free weekend offer
In a witty post on Twitter, developer Semiwork made the announcement REPO will remain free to play until November 3rd, giving co-op horror fans a whole weekend to try. The offer actually celebrates the launch of REPOs second major update, Monster, released on October 30 and adds a wealth of new content to the game, including new rooms, enemies and upgrades. Best of all, free access appears to be unlimited, allowing Steam users who don't own the game to experience all of the content from REPOs previous updates, as well as the new Monster patch.
With 96% of players recommending it on Steam, REPO has proven to be one of Steam's best horror games, making it an easy choice for gamers to add to their libraries. For those still unsure, a 35% discount drops the price from $10 to around $6 USD, reducing the risk and making the decision even easier. This offer lasts until November 13, giving players who try the game for free plenty of time to make up their minds.
For those who want to check out the game, REPOs gameplay revolves around extraction missions, where teams of up to six players enter terrifying locations to retrieve valuable items. Another similar game REPO is Deadly businesswhich combines horror and comedy with a focus on exploration in procedurally generated areas and teamwork. In other words, players who enjoyed themselves Deadly business likely to enjoy REPO also. Those looking for a closer experience of traditional horror may also want to give it a try Phasmophobiaas it forgoes comedic elements for a more serious co-op horror setting.
It is also worth noting that REPO isn't the only game with a free weekend on Steam right now. Cities: Skylines 2 and Crusader Kings 3 is also free to play Cities: Skylines 2 available until November 10 and Crusader Kings 3the campaign ends earlier, on November 3.
