Anegar Games' Chained together is a friendship-ending co-op game where players are literally chained together and must work together to escape the depths of hell. The game has a variety of levels, each with unique challenges. Players must use their chains to swing, climb and reach high places to escape the blazing heat.

Interestingly, the chain that binds you to your friends is far from just a cosmetic thing. It behaves realistically, reacts to the forces of gravity and can even sweep around platforms. Since its release, Chained together has captivated players with its innovative co-op mechanics and realistic physics. At the time of writing, Chained Together is only available on PC via the Steam Store. Unfortunately, there are no Xbox, PS or mobile versions of Chained togetherwhich leaves console and mobile gamers out in the cold.

While Chained Together supports controls and technically running on Steam Deck, it's important to note that the experience isn't fully optimized for handheld play. For example, some of the game's more challenging achievements require precise input, which can be difficult to achieve on a handheld device. So, if you really want to experience the chaos of Chained togetheris a traditional PC installation your best bet.

If you see any games with the title “Chained Together” appearing in the Android and iOS App Store, be careful. These are just rip-offs of the original title and will not offer the same quality or experience as the original PC game.

When will Chained Together be available on PS5 and Xbox?

While Anegar Games is currently focusing on refining the Steam version of the Chained togetherthere has been no official word on console ports. Although the PC version already supports controllers, there is no news on when the game will make its way to other platforms.

It is certainly possible Chained together could eventually be ported to Xbox and PS consoles, as many PC games have migrated to other platforms in the past. But as of now there is no official confirmation from Anegar Games regarding Xbox and PS release.

For now, Anegar Games is fully committed to improving Chained together on PC. They even added a new one custom maps feature, where players can unleash their creativity and create their own maps using an in-game editor. Once they're done, they can share the maps with the community on the Steam Workshop.
