PARIS: The International Boxing Federation has pledged to hand out prize money to Italy's Angela Carini, whose 46-second Olympic defeat of an Algerian boxer in the middle of a gender-rights row has left the sport on the ropes. Carini stopped his fight against Algeria's Imane Khelif after receiving two heavy punches to the face, refused to shake hands with his opponent and then collapsed to the canvas sobbing.
