Borderland's 4 Weapon Farming Dupes can secretly be more powerful than you think

Borderland 4 is officially one week old, which means most of you are already on the manager's agricultural part of the game. Vault Hunters will relentlessly slaughter managers over and over in the hope of getting legendary weapons. Of course, with low fall speeds, you will surely get a dupe of two before it finally loses the big price.

While these dupes are usually the same weapon with the same damage, it turns out that it is more for them than the weapons card reveals. For example, you can get the same Maliwan hail rifle with injuries and elements, but it seems that it may actually be more powerful than the previous ones lost by the manager.

Make sure you inspect duplicate weapons drops

As pointed out by PSO2Rredditor on Reddit, Dupes may seem identical to an overview, but inspecting the weapon and checking out its other statistics can reveal that one of them is more powerful. They noted that they encountered a duplicated Frangible Oscar Mike rifle with exactly the same name and statistics. But only when they looked at the secondary statistics was when they noticed that one had +17 percent chalk damage while the other had +83 percent.

It would not have been a big deal if it was only about two or three percent. However, an increase of 65 percent in chalk damage is an important buff that should not be hidden ideally in secondary statistics. Depending on your style of play, it is almost a gaming exchange when it comes to injuries. Just another instance of Borderland's 4's confusing UI.

This resulted in a number of other players checking out their dupes and reporting back with the same results. It is obvious that some of “dupes” are more powerful than others, but if you do not check out the secondary statistics, there is no real way to know. Some of the comments even regretted the weapons they may have missed because they did not control the secondary statistics.

This is just one of many questions that players have had with Borderland's 4's clumsy user interface. There are not too many other complaints except those for performance problems, which should be ironed out in the latest note.
