A Scarlet Witch solo film centered on Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff may not be on Marvel Studios' release list for a long time.

Disney recently pulled Marvel Studios Leaf reboot from its release, giving away the date of November 7, 2025 to Predator: Badlandsthe franchise's next installment after Hulu's highly successful Change. But this time the MCU Leaf reboot hasn't been given a new release date, which effectively means it's delayed indefinitely. This has led some fans to wonder if Marvel Studios has canceled Leaf reboot, but The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez claims the movie is being pushed aside because it's not connected to the Multiverse Saga.

The real reason #Blade isn't getting done is because the story is disconnected from the rest of the Multiverse Saga. The same goes for Armor Wars, Nova, etc. It's not that they don't get made, they get pushed to make room for Multiversal stories.

Perez clarified in a follow-up Tweet that no new MCU projects are taking Leafs place. Rather, Marvel Studios is pushing Leaf aside to focus on Multiverse stories. MyTimeToShineHello also claimed that Blade is “not dead yet.” Neither scooper said it outright, but this suggests that the MCU Leaf reboot may not be released until after Avengers: Secret Warsthe concluding chapter of the Multiverse Saga. If so, fans might not see the MCUs Leaf restart for another 3 years, which Avengers: Secret Wars is currently slated for a May 7, 2027 release date.

If Leaf pushed aside for multiverse stories, it would be consistent with Perez's earlier claim about Marvel Studios' new phase after Avengers: Secret Wars. According to Perez, Marvel Studios' next phase after the Multiverse saga will focus on the MCU's supernatural side, with Blade as a central figure. Although this does not necessarily mean Leaf cannot be released during the Multiverse Saga, it sounds like Marvel Studios may use the film's production setbacks as an opportunity to fine-tune the character's solo film and save him for a more significant role in the next MCU saga. This probably won't make fans who want to see Marvel Studios take on the character, but they might want to prepare for a long wait.
