Best Horizon Zero Dawn machines that should be Lego sets

Important takeaways

  • Lego Horizon Adventures has opened up the potential for new Lego sets.
  • A Deathbringer, Sawtooth and Thunderjaw could make epic Lego builds on a grand scale.
  • After the Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck set was released in 2022, fans are hoping for more.

The world of Horizon is a captivating mix of breathtaking scenery and intriguing characters, but the true allure of the game lies in its collection of (often terrifying) animal-like metal machines, each with their own unique characteristics and abilities. In 2022, Lego released its Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck Creator set, proving to fans of the game series that the potential to see their favorite machine in brick form was not something Lego would overlook.

Lego Horizon Adventures: Beginner Tips and Tricks

Although Lego Horizon Adventures is straightforward, some players may get confused. Here are some tips that will help you throughout your journey in the game.

Now, with the release of Lego Horizon Adventuresthe call for brick-built machines is louder than ever. Fans have seen and fought against the machines they know and love; now they know more can come. But which machine deserves consideration from the famous plastic stone?

1 Watcher

The bodyguards

One of the smaller machines that Aloy must fight, a Watcher, resembling a theropod dinosaur, has become one of the most recognizable machines in Horizon Zero Dawn franchise. Patrolling in groups, usually three, Watchers primarily protect terraforming machines as they work.

While Lego Horizon: Forbidden West: Tallneck also has a Watcher, it would be fun to have a bigger, more intricate model or more than one to play with. There is also the upgraded Redeye Watcher variant that could be considered instead.

2 Grazer

The Terraformer

One of GAIA's first designs was the Grazer, which is one of the more sensitive machines. Made to turn plant life into necessary resources, Grazers run in packs and are easily spooked when approached, although if players push them too hard they become hostile.

Lego has made forest animals before. Foxes, rabbits and birds are found in many of their buildings and a deer is the focus of theirs Harry Potter Expecto Patronum set. So a majestic Lego Grazer wouldn't be much of a fantasy with its metallic horn-like blades and long legs.

3 Bringer of Death

The firepower

A megaboss of the original game and one of the main machines used by Eclipse when they attacked Meridian, a Deathbringer (also known as FAS-FSP5 Khopesh) was one of the Chariot series of machines made by Ted Faro and was partially responsible for the end of life on Earth.

Things to do after beating Horizon Zero Dawn (Endgame Content)

After completing the story of Horizon Zero Dawn, there are still many things that players can do in the game, let's explore them all.

If Lego were to release a Deathbringer, a large scale version would be the only way to do this machine justice. While the original machine looks much more military in design, it is Lego Horizon Adventures version would also be a fun build.

4 Corruptor

The wagon

Known in the Old World as the FAS-ACA3 Scarab, the Corruptor was another of Faro's peacekeeping machines made to protect Earth but unfortunately helped destroy it instead. A war machine that can traverse all types of terrain, it is a deadly foe for Aloy fairly early on Horizon Zero Dawn.

Despite being a large machine, the Corruptor is very sleek and insect-like. A lego construction would be delicate but cool. The color i Lego Horizon Adventure is very different from the all-black of the main game, but it would be nice to see some balance if this machine were to get its own set.

5 Shell-Walker

The crab

One of the transporters, the Shell-Walker, has the appearance of a hermit crab and creeps forward like a spider. It often rides in convoys with other machines and can raise a shield to protect itself. When destroyed, it often loses its cargo container.

The Shell-Walker creates an interesting potential to build on its own thanks to the hexagonal cargo container it carries on its back. While it's a simple, smooth design, it would be nice to see a more intricate way to create this effect instead of just using six basic tiles. A removable energy shield would be great for those who want to create scenes with their legos and transparent pieces always add something extra to a model.

6 Snapaw

The Croc

The Snapmaw is a medium-sized machine that, while slow in movement, is powerful with attacks. It is a crocodile-like machine designed to help with water purification after the Earth is terraformed.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: Every Mount, Ranked

In addition to being able to override most machines in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Aloy can also turn a handful of them into mounts for faster traversal.

One of the few water machines in Horizon game, a Snapaw would be a fun change from all the ground machines. The length of the build and the possibility of an adjustable jaw and tail would be easy for Lego to create, and if they were to give fans some scenery to build, a water wonderland would make a beautiful kit to display.

7 Sawtooth

The first one

Seemingly modeled on a saber-toothed cat, Sawtooth is the first boss of Horizon Zero Dawnand taking it down is Aloy's last lesson from Rost before The Proving.

On a purely nostalgic basis, to see this machine in lego form Lego Horizon Adventure was a nice throwback to Aloy's beginnings and the very first difficult machine players encountered. While only mentioned and not seen in Horizon Forbidden Westplayers will always remember their first big battle, and immortalizing it with their own large-scale model is a great way to honor Rust.

8 Thunderjaw

T-Rex

A large, fierce fighting machine with characteristics similar to a T-Rex, Thunderjaw is, as Aloy says, “big and built to fight” and is one of the most famous machines from Horizon Zero Dawn. Along with a few characters, Thunderjaw was also released as a Funko POP! Vinyl figure when the first game was released.

A large Lego version of a Thunderjaw would be more than appreciated by fans of the main games. With the many components that come with a Thunderjaw, it would make for a multi-piece build. The parts and size would be very much in line with the Lego Tallneck and would be a great addition to be seen next to one.
