As Bend Studio tries to lock down its next project, fan requests for a Days Gone sequel are peaking.
Bend Studio has given fans a promising confirmation of his future projects. PlayStation's first-party team recently had its current AAA live service project canceled as part of a portfolio review, but that doesn't seem to have done much to shake Bend Studios' confidence.
Following the alleged internal turmoil at Bend Studio over a 2019 sequel Days awaythe studio announced in June 2022 that it was working on a brand new IP. Details of this original project were mostly kept under wraps, but Bend Studio specified that it would build further Days gones open world system and has multiplayer elements. Some recent leaks showed off some early concept screens for Bend Studios' unannounced game, possibly revealing it to be an open-world military shooter with live action.

Days Gone Director Issues Statement After Bend Studio Game Cancellation
In the wake of Bend Studios' live service game being shut down, Days Gone's director offers sympathy for the affected developers.
Unfortunately, this project won't see the light of day now that PlayStation has canceled Bend Studios' live game service. The news came as a huge shock to Bend Studio fans who had been waiting for a new game from the studio for almost six years. It seems though Bend Studio is not too besieged by the cancellation. On Twitter, Bend Studios community manager Kevin McAllister thanked fans for their well wishes and support in a recent post, and ended it by saying that the team still plans to “make cool sh*t.”
Bend Studio assures fans that it will continue to create “cool” games
Additionally, when the cancellation of Bend Studio's live-service game was first reported, it was revealed that PlayStation was working closely with the studio to determine the next project it would take on. Bend Studio spent years developing its now-cancelled live service title, and should the next game be of similar scope, fans will most likely learn about it long after the PS5's lifecycle is over. Thankfully, Bend Studio remains confident in its ability to deliver a great experience, and with PlayStation seemingly slowing down its live service plans, it could very well be that the studio's next game is single-player.
This has led to a resurgence in requests for one Days gone sequel, and although Bend Studio ended all hopes of prospects last year, it was able to give in to demand and provide Days gone IP a new shot. Interestingly, many rumors in recent months have claimed that a Days gone remaster is on the way for PS5 and likely PC. Even if Days away sold millions of copies on PS4, the commercial performance of the remaster could be the deciding factor for whether one Days gone the sequel gets the green light.
