What is the Pax Armata in Battlefield 6?
Pax Armata, which roughly translates to “armed peace” in Latin, is one fictitious Private Military Corporationwhich is in Battlefield universe. The soldiers of the Pax Armata are mercenaries from all over the worldand PMC is supported and provided by some countries.
They are apparently led by Alexander Kincaida former British SAS soldier, but as revealed later they were created by or with the knowledge of CIA agent Melissa Mills. It may also be revealed in future games that Kincaid was not the top dog, but actually Henry Blackburn from before Battlefield campaigns, who felt betrayed and reportedly started their own arms company.
Chronological order of events in Battlefield 6's campaign
The chronological order of events Battlefield 6's the story can get a little confusing, because between missions the story continues to jump forward to modern times with the Dagger 1-3 team interrogating CIA agent Melissa Mills.
All missions after the first are therefore seen as flashbacks.
September 17, 2027 – NATO base in Georgia attacked and NATO Secretary General assassinated
Battlefield 6's The campaign starts in Georgia (the country, not the state) with US forces ready to peacefully hand over a NATO base and defenses of the country to the Pax Armata. However, Pax attacks the baseprobably so they can steal NATO data stored there before it is removed.
The playable character Dylan Murphy and his team are on a mission protect or destroy this dataand ultimately the latter option is the only viable course of action.
A few days later, NATO's Secretary General is assassinatedwith the Pax Armata taking charge. But because NATO refused to act, 12 countries withdrew from NATOthrowing its support behind the Pax Armata. This initiates a global conflict.
March 20, 2028 – NATO retakes Gibraltar
About 6 months into the conflict, NATO is ready to take back the strategic rock of Gibraltar, which guards the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea.
Dagger 1-3 split into two groups, with Haz Carter and 'Gecko' parachuting in to take out coastal weapons, before Murphy and Lopez join the beach landing. Kincaid is on location in Gibraltar, but escapes, leaving nothing of note behind.
To the displeasure of most residents, Egypt and its capital Cairo are under Pax Armata's control. There is also a CEO for biometrics, Fayek Salim, who has worked with Pax.
Mills wants him extracted for the intelligence he can provide about Pax's plans. With the help of Egyptian special forces, Dagger 1-3 are sent in, but things quickly go wrong, and Salim is killed. But before he dies, he indicates that the data is stored in his finger.
This information reveals that Pax Armata plans to attack Brooklyn, New York.
June 14, 2028 – Pax Armata attacks Brooklyn
Ahead of a NATO summit in New YorkDagger 1-3 attempt to infiltrate a Pax cell in Brooklyn, hoping to unearth more details about the impending attack and prevent it.
They discover that Kincaid has one inside the man on the American warship Artemiswhich currently protects the city. Artemis is coming soon fire missiles to destroy bridges and other ways out of the city, before it is destroyed.
It turns out that the coordinates of the attack will be distributed by Pax Armata from an armored trainand when Dagger 1-3 cannot destroy it, the decision is made to bomb it when it goes over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Searching through the trash, Haz Carter can prevent most of the missiles from being fired.
June 15, 2028 – The Pax Armata attempts to capture the President
After the events of the previous night, Dagger realizes 1-3 Kincaid's real target is US President Fernadez. His motorcade is attacked, but he reaches a safe house, where he is from eventually extracted by Dagger 1-3 and the Secret Service.
But at the end of this quest, Kincaid stabs his former comrade Haz Carter to death in revenge for abandoning him on the battlefield many years ago.
President Fernandez announces a global response force and revitalizing NATO in response to the attack on New York.
July 30, 2028 – The Egyptian army retakes Cairo from Pax
As part of a worldwide push back against the Pax Armata The Egyptian army rolls into Cairo and retakes the capital with tanks. Players step into the shoes of Ibrahim Al-Khatib of Unit 777, who previously assisted during the Night Raid mission.
September 19, 2028 – Dagger 1-3 Take Out Air Defense in Tajikistan
IN preparation for the NATO attack on the Pax Armata base in TajikistanDagger 1-3, now led by Dylan Murphy and aided by Hemlock, are sent in to take out decisive air defenses.
In the process, a huge dam is also destroyed.
September 20, 2028 – NATO storms the Pax Armata base in Tajikistan
NATO forces attack Pax Armata's base in Tajikistann, and Dagger 1-3's objective is to find Kincaid while preventing hypersonic missiles from being launched.
Success is partial, as well most missiles shut downbut one explodes on the spot, killing another team. Kincaid is found and reveals that Pax Armata was created by Mills and the CIA so that there would be an enemy for NATO to unite against.
As Kincaid goes for his knifenew team member Hemlock shoots him. With Kincaid's death confirmed over communications by Hemlock, Mills orders NATO to bomb the bunkerbut Dagger 1-3 miraculously escape via a helicopter. Their communication is completely cut off.
September 23, 2028 – Dagger 1-3 Raid Mills' House & interrogate her
In response to Kincaid's revelation that Agent Mills was responsible for the Pax Armata and the fact that she tried to bury Dagger 1-3 as loose ends, infiltrates her suburban home.
The interrogate her about everything that happened, and at one point they had to take out a team of Pax Armata agents sent to extract or kill Mills.
Eventually, Dylan Murphy kills Agent Mills.
Battlefield 6's ending explained and what will happen next?
Explaining Battlefield 6's ending is really explaining all the present-day scenes in Agent Mill's residence. She reveals the following, all of it incriminating her and the CIA as directly or indirectly instigator of the global conflict.

Pax targeted the NATO base in Georgia because of a technology known as “Project Veles”which could disable satellite imagery.

While they failed to retrieve it in Georgia obtained the technology in Gibraltar.

This allowed the Pax Armata to operate in other countries, undetectedgets the upper hand.

Agent Mills planted Kincaid in the Pax Armataand he armed them with NXC, an explosive nano-compound, which would have been launched from the missiles in Tajikistan.
- Mills apparently did not work alonewith everything sanctioned by the CIA and the US government, in the past Kincaid went rogue and everything went out of control.
Since Mills and Kincaid were clearly not the only ones behind Pax Armata's deadly rise, the story will hopefully continue in the future Battlefield game. As 'Gecko' says at the end, “the worst is yet to come.”
