Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14 is officially out, and this month's chapter is certainly one that sets up bigger events to come in the future for Boruto series. After the recent battle in Konoha that saw Shinju attack the likes of Himawari and Sarada, more focus was predicted to be placed on them. As it happens, it seems that the story takes an unpredictable turn, with more attention to Sunagakure, which fans know is a very important place in the world of Naruto.
This is a good move by the author and injects new blood in Boruto series, showing once again that Two Blue Vortex fixes the many problems with the series and makes it more exciting than ever before.
Boruto Uzumaki's interrogation provided Konoha with important information
- Boruto Uzumaki was captured by Konoha
- Boruto gave Konoha Key Intel
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 14 started with the interrogation of Boruto Uzumaki. This is something fans knew would happen in this month's chapter, especially since it was already set up in the previous issue of the series. After Boruto was shot by Jura, those who took him were none other than Konoha, and when they did, they wanted to get as much information out of him as possible before executing him. Konoha asked questions, specifically related to Shinju. Boruto Uzumaki gave them all the information he had, even explaining new things to the fans.
Jura is the incarnation of the Ten-Tails themselves! – Boruto
For example, Boruto explained to Konoha how these Shinju are created, and how they all have parent bodies. But while revealing this interesting information, he also made it abundantly clear that Jura, the strongest of the Shinju, has no parent body. He is the strongest of them all, and the easiest way to take out Shinju is to remove the head, which is Jura. However, he is the reincarnation of the Ten-Tails themselves, which essentially means that it is not easy to take him out in any way. Boruto, strong as he is, cannot accomplish that at this point, and he has already had a taste of his strength. If Boruto can't defeat him, then other characters in Konoha don't stand a chance, unless they join forces with him in a joint effort to take him out.
Fans also got to see Boruto make it clear to Konoha by Elders that Naruto and Hinata are both alive. Of course they didn't believe him at first, but Boruto clearly said that he had no reason to lie. When asked where exactly they were, he did not reveal where they were. This was an attempt to protect Kawaki, as Boruto still harbors feelings of love for him and would never sell out his own brother.
How Shikamaru helped Boruto escape
The Eighth Hokage came to Boruto Uzumaki's rescue
Boruto Uzumaki managed to escape from Konoha successfully. Although it seemed like escape would be impossible for him, especially when he saw Amado's Jutsu preventing him from being shackled, fans saw that Shikamaru was aware of the fact that Boruto is Naruto's son and that he has switched places with Kawaki. But it's also made clear in the story that Omnipotence works in mysterious ways and essentially overrides the memories, no matter how many times the user learns the truth. That's what makes this Jutsu as overpowered as it is, and that's exactly why Shikamaru kept forgetting that Boruto is actually flawless. However, despite forgetting the events, he retained the memory that he decided to trust Boruto and went against his own instincts. It is this very smart move that Shikamaru took that helped him trust Boruto Uzumaki, and also paved the way for his escape.
Still looking for your sun, Mitsuki? – Boruto
To make this possible, Shikamaru called Mitsuki and asked him to go and deal with Boruto. While Konoha considered this a reckless command, Mitsuki did as he was asked, making it appear as if he was going for Boruto's life, when in fact he used his snakes to free Boruto's shackles, giving him an opportunity to escape. That was exactly how Boruto's Uzumaki ended up escaping. Using the Flying Thunder guard technique, he secured his belongings and left the village for good. Now Boruto is free, and Konoha has received some very important information from none other than the main character of the series, which means they are now ready to go in a new direction to seek out Shinju and deal with them.
What Konoha plans to do next is pretty easy for fans to predict. This is simply because at the end of the chapter a new exciting Arc was created by the author, and it seems that the young shinobi from Konoha will embark on a very important mission that will see them go to another country, and head to a village that fans are already very familiar with, Sunagakure.
Sunagakure is attacked by Shinju
Gaara has already been taken out
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 14 made it abundantly clear that Kankuro contacted Shikamaru and asked him for help. According to Kankuro, Shinju attacked the village and Gaara was taken down. How Gaara was taken down the fans don't know yet. What is clear is that Gaara was defeated and is currently being treated, meaning his injuries must be quite severe. At the same time, it was also made clear that Shinki, Gaara's adopted son, took part in the battle. He wasn't as fortunate as Gaara and was basically taken down.
Shinki was likely bitten by a Claw Grime or turned by the shinju directly into a tree. Since Shinki has now turned into a tree, it explains who the previous Shinju revealed in the chapter was. Shinki is the base of the new Shinju that fans saw, and the scene was immediately followed by the awakening of the new Shinju in Jura's base. The new Shinju is named Ryu, and he is clearly based on Shinki, as evidenced by his tattoos.
Fans don't know much about Ryu's personality as it stands. What is clear is that he will be going to Sunagakure soon, which is why he sought help from Konoha. This essentially means that Konoha can send forces in an attempt to help Gaara, while also trying to save Shinki as well. When that happens, fans know that the next Arc of Boruto will take place in this very village, which makes readers very excited, as it will solve one of the major criticisms that fans have had against the Boruto series. Of course, fans will have to wait a month for further plot developments, but given the way things are going right now, readers absolutely can't wait to see where Ikemoto takes them next.
Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15, is set for October 20, 2024.
