Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has been showcased a few times now, and each time it has, the project has looked more and more impressive. It sounds like Ubisoft is giving everyone what they want too, like the hidden blade returning as a feature rather than an optional weapon, and steps to combat the Ubisoft skin memes by letting you customize and even get rid of them.
Now even more gameplay footage has been revealed, and once again Black Flag Resynced looks like the perfect Assassin's Creed game. This gameplay footage was shared by Twitter user SynthPotato and reveals some pretty important gameplay mechanics, one of which is the return of social stealth.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced brings back proper social stealth
Just like the older games, Resynced will feature a stealth system that allows you to use NPCs to avoid capture, such as the ability to hide in crowds, use courtesans to distract guards, and sit on benches among other citizens. On top of that, you'll also be able to throw money at groups of citizens to distract NPCs as well, so all that good stuff is now confirmed to be in the game.
As for something that wasn't in the original, this brief gameplay seems to have revealed that you'll be able to swim underwater pretty much anywhere, except out in the ocean, obviously. You'll remember that underwater swimming was reserved solely for diving watch missions that you could participate in around the ocean, but you can now simply swim underwater in many of the game's locations.
Aside from that, this gameplay showcases things we've already been told about, like a host of new weapons Kenway can use, the apparent transition between the ocean and places like Havana, and the return of features like Leap of Faith and Eagle Vision. It looks like a real throwback Assassin's Creed game, and I can't wait to try it out this summer.
