The sequel to Hit Military Sim series, Arma 4, is still a couple of years from the launch, and right now we know very little about the game. But in Mirko Minenza's latest tour in the studio, perhaps the executive producer Natalia Agafonova may have just allowed to slip where it takes place.
“There is some in about five minutes where the executing producer shows the interviewer a meeting room with a mural that is an” poor map of the Cold War “. EP then points out if you look very carefully you will find an island on the mural that is not in reality,” U/Luckygunz pointed out on R/Arma. “The interviewer correctly points out an island north of Poland and southeast of Sweden that does not exist [in real life]. EP says she can't confirm or deny and wait for Arma 4 to find out. “
This confirms rumors that Arma 4 will take place during the Cold War.
It “can all be a troll from the EP for the interview”, but it certainly sounds like they are teasing the attitude – a fictitious Polish island. It may not sound like much to go on, but the fans quickly began to dig into the series history in the hope of finding where this island can be, and if they are right it can be a deep reference to Arma's beginning: Operation Flashpt.
“Wonder if we get the whole island or not”
As noted by U/AugCPH, “The Outline of the Island looks a lot like Nogova”, a former Soviet Union that was included in the Resistance Exposition Package for Operation FlashPoint: Cold War Crisis. As U/Luckygunz said, it even has the small island of southwest ”.
However, there are a couple of large holes in this theory. Everon and Malden are not anywhere to see, even though Nogova is described as “Due West” and “Not Far from the Malden Islands” in Operation Flashpoint. However, it would be meaningful as Nogova is located in the middle of the Atlantic according to Arma 3 and Reforger, not the North Sea. Simply put, unless the island has up and moved – or Bohemia is to re -check the last two games – it can't be Nogova.
Anyway, we have what seems to be a place. If this is in fact a tease, Arma 4 seems to take us to a fictional Polish island in the Cold War. Whether that island is a whole new addition to the Army World, or a familiar landscape that we have already visited-or at least heard spoken unclear.
