Sulong is part of Uzme's village visit. Black Caiman is not related to a quest, but you have to hunt it for Bonita's quest. Some areas on the upper lake also require a machete to access, which you can get after progressing in the main quest, just before entering the jungle. The machete also unlocks the Surga Falls area.

Some fish only appear after you complete certain tasks. For example, the Sockeye Salmon will appear when you clean the lower area of the lake, while the Giant Turtle is part of Sato's quest, which will also unlock him as an employee. After you beat the giant turtle, the Fire Eagle will appear in the Sunang Ruins.
