What is Fairy Tale Revengers?
The new anime miniseries
Fairy Tale Revengers is a new mini-anime series available on YouTube to watch for free. The first episode was released this past week and is part 1 of a three-part story. The episode is just over 3 minutes long and animated in a simple, cute chibi style. At the time of publication, the video had already received more than 79,000 views and over 8,000 likes, along with hundreds of comments.
Fairy Tale Revengers will explore classic fairy tales, but they will be retold using the characters from Tokyo Revengers. The first story to be adapted is Momotaro, one of the most famous Japanese folktales. It tells the story of a boy born from a peach, who goes on to defeat the demons that plague his land with the help of three animal companions. The basic story remains the same Fairy Tale Revengersbut the characters have all been replaced with those from the anime.
Right now, the YouTube channel has no information on when more episodes will be released or what stories they will cover, but the wording in the caption makes it sound like this is just the first in a series. Hopefully, given the simple animation style and short length of the episodes, fans won't have to wait too long to see what comes next. For now, the first episode of Fairy Tale Revengers available in Japanese with English subtitles.

The legacy of Tokyo Revengers
Where is the series right now?
Tokyo Revengers first aired in April 2021 and went on to become an incredibly popular series both in Japan and abroad. Due to the success of its manga, which was published in English by Kodansha USA Publishing, the anime series was released by Crunchyroll on the same day as its release in Japan. Two years later in January 2023, Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown aired on Disney+ and Hulu.
In October 2023, Disney+ exclusively aired the third part of Tokyo Revengers, Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc, internationally. All seasons of the anime were well received, and the series has maintained its popularity over the past three years. It has also inspired three live-action films to date, the first of which was the #1 live-action film in Japan in 2021. The manga, which began in March 2017 in Shōnen Weekly Jumpwas completed in November 2023.
There are still two more arcs left to be turned into anime, the Bonten Arc and the Final Arc (which is split even further into the Three Dieties and Kanto Manji Arcs). That could mean there are still two more series Tokyo Revengers to come, at least, and there may be even more. With the series' ongoing success, there's a good chance they'll be made for years to come. But while they wait, fans can enjoy themselves Fairy Tale Revengers for free on the anime's YouTube channel.
