A new bug fix in Diablo 4 can make players immortal

In an attempt to fix a bugged defensive enchantment that was introduced in the last one Diablo 4 expansion, Blizzard seems to have bugged it again to almost comical levels, making players who have Aspect of Glynn's Anvil at their disposal basically immortal. Diablo 4 players may want to get in on this too-good-to-be buffer as it may be a matter of time before Blizzard fixes it.

The Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred the expansion introduced the Paladin and Warlock classes, made various changes and additions to the endgame, added a new campaign, and more. Especially that one Lord of Hate the expansion also introduced the aspect of Glynn's Anvil defensive enchantment, which grants damage reduction to Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Rogue, and Spiritborn per player's Resolve stack, up to a maximum of eight Resolve stacks. The way it works is that each aspect increases a player's resolve by 2, and they get 2.5 – 4% damage reduction per resolve; however, players found that they did not receive the full damage reduction that Glynn's Anvil suggested when the new expansion was first released. Now that Blizzard has tried to fix the problem, things have gotten interesting.

Diablo 4's new rare items are a complete game changer

A new Diablo 4 item has been billed as the rarest in the game and is finally showing up almost a month after Lord of Hatred was released.

Diablo 4 tries to fix the aspect of Glynn's anvil and instead makes the players immortal

The following patch 3.0.2 for Diablo 4players have found that they can now bypass the eight-stack limit of Glynn's Anvil and can add the legendary aspect to all of their gear, making themselves practically immortal due to the high stacking effect of Resolve and Damage Reduction. One fan on Reddit shared that their Toughness has now exceeded 53 million, while some fans have reported Toughness stats exceeding 100 million with the right build. At these levels, players are basically immovable goliaths, as even 2 million Toughness is enough to get through Torment 12 in Diablo 4.

Unfortunately, Sorcerer and Warlock are barred from using Aspect of Glynn's Anvil, but those who can use it have a lot of fun with it. Diablo 4 players who have taken advantage of this new bug seem to be using it to experiment with different builds and offensive strategies as they no longer have to worry about their defense as they are basically immortal. They also seem to take down the very annoying Torment 12 Mephisto in droves. It's also been shown that Druids in particular can benefit greatly from Glynn's Anvil due to the class's strong Resolve stacking ability, leading to Druid classes being the most capable of hitting that crazy 100 million Toughness stat.

It's unclear if Blizzard intends to tone down the aspect of Glynn's anvil, though Diablo 4 has had a small patch since 3.0.2, and it doesn't seem like this bug has been fixed at all. There's a small chance that Glynn's Anvil works as intended and that Blizzard didn't foresee it being used like this on such a large scale, but given how broken some builds have become because of it, this is unlikely. Diablo 4 fans looking to get the best possible build for this moment in the season should probably try to find Glynn's anvil before it's too late.

Diablo 4 still has plenty in store for fans of the hellish RPG. Blizzard has announced that it will soon introduce festivities for Diablo 4s third anniversary, with lots of giveaways and events coming in June, so players should be on the lookout for that. Additionally, the team has moved quickly to address various issues introduced with Lord of Hatelike the latest Treasure Goblin exploit, and there's likely more to come if this latest immortality bug continues to break the game.
