A Big Ol' Bunnelby Walkthrough

After agreeing to help Emma with some investigative cases, players will find some side quests appearing on their map in Pokemon Legends: ZA. One of these side quests is “A Big Ol' Bunnelby”, where a concerned Lumiose City resident named Travelle tells you that he has found an ultra-large Bunnelby roaming the streets nearby.

Since the giant Bunnelby is not confined to any wild zones, he fears that the Pokémon could wreak havoc on the city if not handled properly. This guide covers where to find Bunnelby and how to defeat it.

How to defeat Alpha Bunnelby in Pokemon Legends: ZA

The giant Bunnelby is actually one Alpha Pokémonwhich means it has a significantly higher health pool compared to a regular Bunnelby. Despite being only level 10, it can easily wipe out the player's party if given half a chance. Also, it will regularly try to take out you, the trainer, whenever it gets the chance. Press on Y button to scroll away from its attacks when it targets you. If you take too many hits, you'll turn white.

As a pure normal-type Pokemon, Bunnelby is weak to Fighting-type moves and immune to ghost-type attacks. Its defense and special defense are almost equal, meaning there is no clear winner in terms of what type of attack you can use against it. Besides, it just knows Earth power, Smilingand Tackle. So if you use a Flying-type Pokemon, Tackle will be its only damaging move.

You can freely switch between Pokemon during battleso take advantage of that opportunity when it presents itself. Heal using Potions and Super Potions, but remember you can only use one bag at a time and there is a cooldown between uses.

If your party wipes on the giant Bunnelby, you will be transported to a Pokemon Center, and you can resume the side quest at any time.

Once Bunnelby is at low health, the chance of catching it will increase drastically, and you will be able to throw a Poke Ball to catch it with a high chance of success.
