Gemini Malenia and Miquella are known to be part of two of the most challenging boss battles in both the base game and DLC. Being the offspring of Queen Marika's second marriage to Radagon of the Golden Order, these twins are extremely powerful and full of divinity.

That said, as powerful as they are, they are also the youngest bosses on this list, as they have older half-siblings born from Marika's first marriage and Radagon and Rennala's marriage. Although Miquella is not voluntary, Malenia is, so players can choose not to face her. But if they want to make their playthrough as difficult as possible, Malenia should not be skipped.

Radahn

Miquella's Promised Consort, Defier Of Gravity

When the game was first released, Starscourage Radahn was one of the bosses that players struggled the most to defeat. This is not surprising, as he has devastating long-range attacks and can ride his horse, Leonard, at great speed. Radahn is the offspring of Rennala and Radagon, which explains why he has such control over gravity and the stars, as well as his overall appearance and skill in battle.

Along with his siblings, Rykard and Ranni, he is the older half-brother of Miquella and Malenia. Players struggling to defeat him should try some of the best ash of war available to them up to that point in the game to make the fight easier.

Rykard

The boss fights against Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy isn't easy, especially since players have to figure out that they can't kill him with normal weapons. As the son of Radagon of the Golden Order and Queen Rennala, he is full brother to Radhan and Ranni, as well as half brother to Malenia, Miquella.

Unlike other bosses on this list, Rykard is completely optional and can be easily missed as Volcano Manor and its boss arena are somewhat hidden. Defeating Rykard is a game of patience and resilience, so if players decide to take him on, they must wait for the right moment to strike.

Rani

As the last child of Radagon and Rennala on this list, Ranni the witch is a highly mysterious character who, unlike his siblings, does not represent an immediate danger to the Tarnished. Players will first meet Ranni in the Church of Elleh and can later speak with her in Ranni's Rise, located in the Three Sisters subregion of Liurnia of the Lakes.

She has a very interesting storyline that will reward players handsomely if they complete it. Doing it takes a while, but it's well worth it.

Morgott

Players will be surprised to know that Morgott, Omen King, is the exact same enemy they faced under the name Margit, Fell Omen earlier in the game. Of course, Morgott is much harder and brings a lot of new tricks to the table, not to mention he's one of the hardest bosses to parry without training.

Morgott is the cursed child of Queen Marika and Godfrey, First Elden Lord, and was rejected from an early age because of his deformity.

Like his twin brother, Morgott, Maybe was also rejected at birth because of his physical characteristics. When players encounter Mohg, he has taken home the Mohgwyn Palace, which is a very difficult area to get through. Being the son of Godfrey and Marika, he is very powerful and seems to be obsessed with his younger half-brother Miquella.

There are many ways to make Mohg easier to fight, but few are as effective as choosing the right one-handed sword, staff, or even strength to melt his health bar.

Godfrey

Father of Godwyn, Morgott and Mohg

Before Marika was married to Radagon, she was married to Godfrey, the first Fire Lord. With her were Mohg, Morgott and Godwyn. Godfrey is extremely powerful, as evidenced by his boss fight in Leyndell, Ashen Capital. Although Godfrey is considered the first Fire Lord and one of the oldest beings in The Lands Between, there are many who claim that Placidusax is actually much older than him.

Either way, it's undeniable that Godfrey is very powerful and responsible for creating many of the toughest bosses in the game.

Last but not least, there is Placidus scissorswho lives in Crumbling Farum Azula. This Dragon Lord is extremely powerful and can end the lives of most Tarnished with a couple of successful hits. Many claim that he is one of the oldest beings in existence, even older than Godfrey, the first Fire Lord.

Defeating him can be a bit tricky, as he can disappear while flying and has powerful AoE attacks with wide coverage. He is completely optional and easily missed, but if players want a challenge it is highly recommended to skip this fight.
