The incident sparked a wide range of reactions online. Some criticized his decision to leave valuables in the car and highlighted safety concerns, while others sympathized with him and condemned the brazenness and jealousy behind the act. However, many focused on Duke's composure, pointing out the luxury of being so rich that even having a Lamborghini broken into and losing valuables doesn't seem to faze him. For some, his response served as inspiration, with one user commenting on his motivation to “grind harder” to achieve a similar level of success. The incident is also reminiscent of other alarming cases involving streamers, such as in 2023, when Twitch streamer Justfoxii revealed that a viewer had set her car on fire.
Similarly, in July, Twitch streamer Fanum ran into police during the Dominican Day parade in NYC, resulting in his Lamborghini being impounded. Fanum claimed that officers seemed more interested in driving the luxury car than addressing any legitimate concerns and also announced his intentions to sue the NYPD following the incident, which involved guns being drawn during his live stream.
