While moving on Red Dead Redemptions campaign, players will encounter some safes to crack. When they find one, a Crack Safe prompt appears in the lower right corner of the screen. After clicking the button, John Marston proceeds to pick the lock by turning the dial accordingly.

Every safe in the game comes with one tricycle combination lock. To find the first number in the combination, move the dial slowly to the right. The the lock symbol at the top will shake when it is close to the correct number. Once you find the first number, move the dial to the left until you find the second number, then back to the right again for the third.
