It's funny to see how much Shin Megami Tensei dwarfs every other series. Even funnier is that Persona itself is a spin-off of the larger series, and still is far more entries than any other series Atlus has done.
Most of the time it is. Some games, such as Brilliant Historylater received remakes, but no brand new entries that could classify them as an independent series. That's not a bad thing either, mind you. Seeing Atlus experimenting with brand new games rather than just relying on the past is a sign that it is willing to do more than it is used to.
