IN One PieceWhitebeard was a man of humble beginnings, who wanted nothing more than a family. His goal in life was not to conquer, but instead to protect those he loved. This turned him into a monster that terrorized the seas of the Grand Line and made his many enemies tremble in fear. His strength reached such a level that only a handful of people ever came close to him. His Haki was of the highest order, and above all, his Devil Fruit was insanely overpowered.
Whitebeard had Gura Gura no Mi, which allowed him to create tremors at will. For this reason, he was said to have the power to destroy the world. The iteration of Whitebeard who One Piece fans saw during the Marineford Arc was just a shell of his glory days. During his heyday, only Roger and Garp were seen as his equals. Even then, it was Whitebeard who came to be known as the strongest pirate alive.

Gol D. Roger was stronger than Whitebeard even though he was sick
Affiliation: Roger Pirates
Roger was the first man to conquer the Grand Line, and he was rightly given the title of Pirate King. He was an exceptionally powerful character whose strength was respected by everyone, even his enemies. He was also a monster in battle who relied solely on Haki. Since Roger did not have a Devil Fruit like Whitebeard, he honed his Haki to a level no one had ever seen before.
Haki's mastery, along with his impressive physical abilities, helped Roger reach an incredibly high level. What makes his achievements even more impressive is that he suffered from an incurable disease for many years. Despite being ill, he continued to push forward to conquer the world.

Imu has dark powers that are used to rule the entire world
Affiliation: World Government
Imu is an individual who possesses unlimited powers and is currently the strongest person in the One Piece. He is an immortal who has lived for over a century and has manipulated almost every important event in the world. His power is very mysterious and cannot be fully explained, and he has a rare devil fruit called “Devil's Fruit”, which gives him a variety of powers.
Using the Devil Fruit, he can grant powers to others who have submitted to his will. He can also conjure weapons and grant immortality to others. In the Elbaph Arc, Imu defeated Loki and Luffy with no problem, showing how superior he is to the rest of the fighters in the series. It's also worth mentioning that even Roger and Whitebeard couldn't hurt him.

Joyboy was the greatest threat to the World Government
Affiliation: Unknown Pirate Crew
Joyboy was the first pirate in the entire world, as he was the man who directly opposed the world government. Joyboy is a legend, but he is only known by a handful of people, mainly because the World Government did their best to erase his name from the annals of history. In terms of strength, Joyboy is arguably the only character that can match Imu. He was the user of the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika, the same Devil Fruit that Luffy currently has. The Devil Fruit allowed him to transform into Nika while increasing his physical abilities.
Joyboy's Haki was on a completely different level compared to the other characters in the story, as evidenced by its power in the Egghead Arc. When Emet released the knot with Joyboy's Haki, it caused four of the Gorosei to be transported back to the Holy Land. Even Dorry and Broggy acknowledged that Haki was much stronger than Shank's own.

The warrior god was a mythical figure who fought against Nika
Affiliation: Elbaf
The concept of god-like beings has been slowly and steadily integrated into the series. It started all the way back in Skypiea, and it was further explored in Elbaph. In the current arc, the warrior god was introduced to fans as a deity who fought against the sun god Nika.
The reason behind their battle has not been revealed, but it proves that he was a very terrifying being, as no ordinary human could match the Sun God. He was the holder of Ryu Ryu no Mi Model: Nidhoggr and was the first master of Ratatoskr.

Zaza is the goddess deeply feared by celestial dragons
Affiliation: Unknown
Zaza is another deity introduced in the Elbaph arc. Like the others, she has proven to be a fearsome opponent. Her powers are based on controlling water, and this makes her the bane of Devil Fruit users.
Based on Killingham's manifestation of Zaza, she was a humanoid with four arms, and her body was made of water. She could also launch powerful streams of water that could even harm giants. Fans may learn more about her in the upcoming arcs, as she is feared by the nobles of the world.
